    tall drivers

Thanks guys, this sounds promising. I was thinking of building either a Daytona coupe or the RCR40. Neither being exactly a practical car, it sounds like the the GT40 would be easier to get in and out of also. You kinda have to be a contortionist to get into the Daytona coupe. ONce in, it's very...

    tall drivers

Hi Fran, Is there anyway to configure the RCR40 to accomodate a 6'5" driver? I have a 34" inseam and thought I might be able to angle the seat and modify the footbox depth to accomodate my lanky body. PS - I saw Ron's car this weekend and now I'm very interested in starting a build, but...

    ERA GT not mentioned much

Bill, Actually, I met Fran from RCR at Carlisle this past year. I was the 6'5" guy mentioned in his posts regarding the show that fit into his GT40 frame he had there - albeit I had to lay down almost horizontal to fit in. LOL!! He didn't have a finished car there - only prototype stuff. Has...

    ERA GT not mentioned much

Yikes!! 2 years for ERA to deliver - are you kidding me? I didn't know about Superformance - do they make a MK I version also, or just MK II?

    ERA GT not mentioned much

Hi all, I'm new to the community here and have been listening in for a while and noticed that there's not much mention of the GT40 kit made by ERA. I've always known ERA to make fabulously accurate and well engineered Cobra replicas... Is there some reason that they are not a big contender in...

Re: Can one get a 6\' 3\" in a GT40? ....I believe so ! Awesome! I'm 6'5" and I never thought I had a chance to fit in these cars.

    greetings

Hi all, Been lurking for a while and reading many of the interesting posts. I don't have a GT40, but someday hope to. I just spent 2 years restoring my '69 Z/28 Camaro so I don't think I could convince my wife to let me have another toy right now. In the meatime I'm hoping to learn from...

    Insurance question and more

Steve, Yea, I see your point. Wasn't thinking too much about it, but it makes sense that liability and collision would be much higher since repair (labor) and parts are much harder to have done on an original (or even replica) GT40. Fortunately parts for my car are easy to get. Sorry it was no...

    Insurance question and more

Geez! I only pay $200 a year for my '69 Z/28 which is agreed value at $45K and $500K liability. I have a mileage limit of 3K a year, but for me thats not a problem. My policy is with American Collectors. You guys might want to try calling them. MB
