hi all, i have a un1 mated to a ford cosworth engine and i was having a lot of trouble with my 1st to 2nd gear change i rev the car to 7250 (soft cut) and anything over 6000 the gear just would not engauge. it would just crunch until the revs had dropped low enough then it would go in gear...

As above, ive sent some gears (1-4) off for some work and need to know which 1 is 2nd. Im pretty sure its the 2nd biggest out of all 4 but to be sure can any1 tell me how many teeth it has Thanks

how did you find dealing with albins? they offer some parts for the un5 which is very similar to the un1 i use. im thinking of seeing if any of the stuff is of use to me, but as they are in aus and me in the uk....

thanks for the reply, your english is very good. the polishing paste is grinding paste. i am going to get the teeth sharpened, polished, remove every other 1 and i am going to add an extra symchro spring to each 1. how do you mean blue printing them? what else can be done to the synchro...

couple of things. i have noticed that it crunches really badly with the 0.75 master and the pedal adjusted so its inline with the rest of the pedals, about 3/4 throw if i adjust the pedal up higher so i get more throw it crunches a lot less, but still doesnt make it into gear. so i assume...

No it's not at 90 degrees to the shaft. As it comes out of the box it's at 90 then it's been cut and welded to about 30 degrees different towards the front of the box, I will get a pic of it later. I can't see how that would make a difference but will give it a try if I can, obviously me gear...
