    Choosing color for gt40 MKI

Quote 1 "i have relised that the gulf blue and orange strip wont look good with out the decals and the roundels. Thi sin effect will make it looking like a track car, and would look a little funny driving it around as a weekend car." Quote 2 "i think you guys have put my mind to ease. Essex...

    Who makes the best GT40?

I agree that there has been too many threads but I also think it will always be a valid question. Perhaps the powers that be could create a "hot topics" sub forum to help direct traffic for those who are interested particularly the new members. After all, how many threads are there about how to...

Look what I found in my driveway

We here in New England had a rather large snow storm. Hard work is rewarded, after a lot of clean up I found the Valentine's present the wife got me.

Which is the most correct made replica GT40?

One question that should also be raised is operational cost. If serious vintage racing is planned, I assume keeping a Gelscoe car on the track would cost more than running a Superformance car. Also, I can only guess there would be a differance between running a MkI vs. a MkII (or even MkIV).

Hows this GT40 build plan sound?

Jon, You seem to prefer the "new" look quite a bit. Would you be better off to purchase an '05/06 GT? I think the overall time and $ to build a replica of a '65 that looks modern may be pretty close to the cost of an '05/06 GT.

    Manta Montage T First Build

Eric, It looks as though you have gained your knowledge from the same sources I have... "McLaren believed they could keep the price down by using a production 7 litre Ford engine." I think Bruce MaLaren knew a little about the strength and reliability of the 427. If you are using a ZF, I...
