Whatever happened to Lonesome Boob and Climate Change Deniers?

Can we follow Randy's advice and let this go? GT40's has improved since Lonesome Bob and partisan arguments left the forum.

    Hello Again!

Park Place Ltd. in Bellevue, WA might be a possibility. They used to be a Superformance dealer and sell exotic cars on consignment.

    Street GT40 Tampa Circa 1970/71

Haven't been able to locate a color photo of the Vero Beach car chassis 1104 when Chandler owned it. Only one B&W. After the car was sold in 1989 it was repainted red. Hard to tell exactly what 'opalescent dark green' was without a photo.

    Street GT40 Tampa Circa 1970/71

The only possibilities I've come up with are Mk3 chassis 1104 owned by Joseph Chandler of Vero Beach, Fl. from 1968 to 1989. But the color is opalescent dark green. The other car is a Mk3 chassis 1106 in Glacier Blue, but owned by Ford of Dearborn, MI until sold in 1972. The Mk 3's did have...

Coolant Temperature - What is Normal?

I wouldn't draw any conclusions until ambient temperatures are at least 70 degrees. Depending on where coolant sensor is located it could vary from thermostat.

    What‘s that noise?

Open the hood lid, turn the key on, and come around the front to locate the sound. Not much up there to make that sound except the radiator fans, cockpit ventilation fans, windshield wiper/washer motors.

Graham is right. Most MGB replacement racks are now made in Argentina. Any MGB gaiter should work.

    RCR40 17" track / autocross tires

Nitto NT01 ? Also 100 treadwear. I used them for track days only. Good grip. I never wore the tread out, but they would get hard after a couple of years.

Which Wilwood clutch master cylinder for an SPF?

My clutch mc was originally .70", but I went to .625" to reduce pedal effort. Pleased with that.

    SPF Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

I always tighten the nut as tight as possible without binding the bearings. On a similar issue some owners have bearings that are a little loose on the axle. Ideal repair for this is chrome plating the shaft, but I've had good luck with plasma spraying. Simpler and less costly with no risk of...
