This stuff was purchased through www.reflectionsinpaint.com. it seemed to spray nice. but its all coming off due to the customer wanting to redo the carbon sections. I'll let you know how it sprays the 2nd time around, lol(actually crying inside)

Anyone else deal with this on these SLC carbon dash's? I am just curious if this is a common deal. This is after the dash has been painted and the soft touch coating applied. I noticed them when I first received the parts long ago, but when the parts are shiny they aren't as noticeable...

Does anyone know where one might be able to the plastics that cover the steering column? I believe this column is out of a 99 Oldsmobile intrigue(i think). This is the only picture I have of it.

So, pushing through this build/mess.......Does anyone have any examples of how they have mounted the rearview mirror(display) in these cars?

At least now if there is ever an issue where the column needs to come out there is a removable panel.

I moved it over 1/2" last night. Sorry it was maddening that none of this stuff lined up. Other than having to cut an access hole in the HVAC duct, it wasnt that big of a deal to move it, just irritating.

After some searching the offset column deal seems to be normal. Now I just need to figure out what column this is so that the correct covers can be ordered.

1st question - what column is this that RCR installs in these superlites? This car was not delivered with any trim pieces to cover this thing up. 2nd,,, should the steering column be centered with the far hump that holds the digital display? I am trying to install the seats so I can...

I'd love to share what the original piece looked like that the customer purchased, but I'm not going to start any of that BS.

Oh ya, I used just regular urethane clear when I painted the body.

Also, its 2 pieces with the seam at the hinge area. I struggled to get the carbon to wrap around the scoop are so I just cut it short and that is black in that area.

I know there is a thread somewhere, but I cant find it anywhere. But are there any details on some of these speaker box designs that you guys build for center of the sl-c interiors?

Basically I primed the roof with black, sanded it with I think 150...not sure its been a min. Then I fit the carbon piece and used some low tac adhesive to hold it in place. Kind of a pain to get it just right, but thats how I did it. I didnt want to lay this out with it wetted out already. I...

Just an update to this, now that the car is painted I can share this. I ended up hand laying carbon on the roof itself. That piece of hot garbage that was sold to the customer was returned. I do believe it had been cut and fitted on a previous vehicle, but that's non of my business.

Just curious, what does everyone use for the vent screen material on the body and roof?

So I guess I am just asking, but should there be screws along the door jamb area that secure the carbon tub to the body? I see them on some builds, but not all.
