Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

I hate the "gold" wheels I got from the factory, it is an awful yellow-green hue that I can't stand . So I decided to plasti dip them with a pure gold alloy which is a dip pearl type . It is very time-consuming because you need 5 base coats of black and then about 5 coats of gold. But the end...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

I finally installed the morimoto sealed3 90mm headlights , they are not really fog lights , they have high and low beams . They are impressive. I was nervous beacuse the jaguar headlights are pointing a lot lower on the SLC , so I needed a backup plan. and since I am not using brake ducts , I...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

After the sanding and buffing was done I was not going to drive the car without some ppf on the front . I did not do a perfect job, but the point is to protect the paint from road rash. mission accomplished

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

I forgot , that I had to reinforce a few areas on the rear clam. . The painter left the rear clam outside on a wind storm and a portion of the rear clam cracked badly . Also when I cut off the opening for the air inlets it lost quite a bit of rigidity, so I added some aluminum reinforcement .

    Car polish guys....

Well, I am all the way around , mechanically great , but the paint job a bit challenged , LOL , Totally agree Cliff, in my humble opinion that's why guys that buy built SLCs don't drive them very much , and sell them with very few miles, crazy . Because if any little thing goes wrong, they are...

Well , while I was at it , why not do the Bentley thing and add a few stars to the roof . LOL . Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

While I was waiting for the paint job, there were a few smaller projects that needed to be done , one of them , wrapping the roof in black and tan leather , as well as the A pilars . Not a bad result for a beginner . navigating steep curves with a single piece is very very challenging . But got...

    Please Stop My Confusion

I absolutely love my SLC now that it is finished , but it took me more than 5 years and more than 3000 hours to have the finished product that I wanted . I spent a lot of time and money on the interior and time consuming mods , such as headlights and tail lights . The biggest disappointment for...

possibly the sickest engine/tran package for an SLC ??

Nice engine, but It is a porker at 540lbs dry weight and it costs $30k. I paid $7500 for my 6.2 LS3 525 crate engine (around 500 lbs with all the accessories?. 465 lbs without them, I think I like my choice better LOL

    SL-C Driving Experience

Could not have said it better AJ. I found the drive intoxicating beyond anything I have ever owned, (911 turbo, lotus Elise, Nissan GTR) .
