    G50/52 starter options

I have this in my build site (widebody RCR40), but the HI Torque pn is IMI-101NL. Factory starters are not going to fit inside the RCR horseshoe.

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

T Those were added to the cars after that mount failure situation. I requested them be added to mine at rcr when they were assembling the chassis, late 2015.

RCR40 - Help with dash fit and placement - AC vents

Don't know if you have a LHD or RHD car which makes the dash design a bit different but in my LHD the dash sat much lower. There is a dance that happens between the vent manifold, spider, dash, and doors. Make sure the spider position has been properly vetted before fully investing the dash...

    Wide GT40 Front End

Had to make widened fenders for my RCR40 to fit the 9.5" front wheels and bluestreak tires.

    Widebody RCR40

Need some help!!! I think I'm going to set my own windshield using urethane. I can't seem to find anyone that'll do the job. Are there others who have set theirs on a RCR40? I bought some gasket material that is typically used on the SPF GT's to surround the glass edge. Some questions: - Do...

Mounting RCR Adjustable Slider for Wilwood Pedal Assembly

I have the stainless pedal setup (not wilwood) and replaced those wing nuts and bolts with standard next nuts and bolts. Maybe I used alternative t-bolts but I can’t remember.

Mounting RCR Adjustable Slider for Wilwood Pedal Assembly

Are the bolts that the wing nuts are attached to shoulder bolts or do they tighten the upper carriage down when torqued?

Mounting RCR Adjustable Slider for Wilwood Pedal Assembly

Set up seating position, mount pedals with master cylinders to adjuster assembly, position on floor for best fit. The adjuster bolts down pretty simply. I replaced the spring loaded pull knob with something that bolted in place.

    Widebody RCR40

What a year it's been. I feel like the trajectory of humanity has changed. For another day I suppose. I have used some of the quarantine time to work on the car. Headers and paint are 2 that I've been contemplating for some time. I didn't get the whole car painted as I believe there will be...

    Widebody RCR40

Bodywork, bodywork, bodywork. Perhaps I've said this before but the fiberglass need considerable work to make it decent. I have no reference what fiberglass replica is better than others. If there are suppliers that are considerably worse than this -well- let god have mercy on your soul. So...

    Widebody RCR40

I've been negligent in posting progress so I've got several months of progress. I'll have to say the wiring, in an effort to make it modular and logical, has been difficult. I was hoping to just wing it but ended up having to design something from the ground up. I used cylindrical connectors...

Paint and Body Work on RCR Cars...

I never considered the possibility of having a shop paint mine but as I’m rounding the corner I can’t imagine anyone doing a nice job for under $20-25k. The number of inclusions I’ve fixed under the gel coat is mind bending, especially in all the tight areas of the spider, rear clamshell, and...

    Chuck's Jaguar D Type Build

Wilwood makes narrow calipers. Would those help? Also, are those calipers for .81 or thicker rotors? https://www.wilwood.com/calipers/CaliperList?subname=Billet%20Narrow%20Superlite%204R%20Radial%20Mount

    Widebody RCR40

Other people have talked about the engine bay heating issues especially when the car is idling. Some have put fans in the round cutouts near the top radius rod mounts. I didn't have a fan size that I felt would move the volume required to keep the engine bay temps down. Also, aesthetically, I...

    Widebody RCR40

Some more picts. I also crammed a Canton coolant bottle down next to the engine. Was about the only place it would fit. I had to cut the top leading edge to clear the block.

    Widebody RCR40

Been trying to make the best of the quarantine by dedicating some more time to the car. I have a goal of starting to spray some body panels the week of 5/11. As an aside, the prevailing reason I chose a GT40 as a project was the rarity (even as a replica). I attend many car shows and...

    Rcr 40-31

I love that ride height. Going to see if I can get mine close to that. How many miles so far? Any things you would have changed (fundamentally)?
