Some progress. Installed foam mock up engine and started creating engine mounts that are more reminiscent of the original. They are also more self-locating making them easier to hard mount once I pull the engine. I'll TIG weld them to finish off then move onto the mounts that actually bolt...

Camera angle and shadows. Takes some pretty serious heat to discolor steel, especially gears in a trans bathed in oil.

Car is +4. Fronts are maybe +1.5. The front flares were made by splitting the lip, folding them out, and glassing in between. It's limited edition, 1/1. ;)

That hydramat looks interesting. I'm seeing an expected life of approx 10 years. If that's the case I'll do a pair of 044's with the check valves. They make a 15X3" mat that would probably fit nicely at the bottom of the RCR tanks.

I like the concept of twin in tank 044's but don't the rcr tanks need some surgery to accommodate? Also, without internal baffling I would be concerned about starving the pumps. I was thinking about the low pressure pulling from either tank (depending on the 6 port valve setting) to a swirl tank...

So you have just one valve on the return? Do you need a second larger size on the feed lines?
