I'm sure that 302 can't believe what's happening to it.

    Brett's RS GTD

Looking good Brett, slowgress is the only way to go, gives your heed (said like your kinsmen) more subconscious processing time, will ultimately lead to a better solution. Do you have an electronic speedo? Mine is mech but I am fitting a Honeywell sensor to monitor the speed via the bolt heads...

Re. panelling the footwell, (as you know) on a RHD car it's the accelerator that is beside the panel and as I have no plans for cruise control, will be keeping my foot thereabouts. I appreciate that the issue is different for a LHD car. Re. the front bay, I panelled mine and am in the...

Got my new steering wheel adapter back from the workshop. The top of the Corsa C EPAS is a 21.5mm splined shaft that did not fit into the previous hex adapter which had a 19mm hole,... I could have made it fit but we would have to have removed too much material making the wall too thin. I just...

Hey Andy, push the boat out and please, please, please share the information, is that not the raison d'etre of the site? Do you remember the Harry Enfield character,.... "..... no, you don't wanna do that" Keith

    Tornado GT40 in Texas

Andy, would you share the reason with GT40 forum members and others that have invested in Tornados. Otherwise I'm going to have to be reckless and drive around with panelled footwells. K

Thanks guys,... Ian, does your DGB (dirty great big) relay isolate all the electrical circuits via a normally closed dooms day switch?

Tornado TS40 Build Belfast Northern Ireland

Electrical circuits Can I ask my viewers how many fused circuits do you have and how many relays, I want to get the fuse and relay boxes ordered. Relays, I'm thinking, fans (1), water pump (2), EPAS (3), winkies (4), headlights (5), starter (6), maybe,.... I have no A/C.

Also panelled the footwells, awkward to do with all the other panels done, the EPAS had to come out, the pedals had to be moved,....the shapes and bends are a pain too, at least it will be covered with carpet, I hope. put in some lead sound proofing to deaden the road noise, would I ever have...

Bob, if you haven't already, I recommend that now is a good time to consider panelling the inside of the footwell both sides, it looks a lot neater and the outside of the front bay, which will help to keep out all the muck from the front wheels. An air riveter is the way, the only thing to watch...

Fitted tank breathers (Mocal) to the rear of both tanks, as the clearance height it low I used some that had a connector at 90 degrees. The front breathers are an inline type and will be attached to the inside of the panelling around the main filler pipes.

    Scotland Tornado

Ian, would love to hear/see a video of the noise your baby is making now! If it is gearbox oil on the inner adapters, this you could try IanA's suggestion, I spotted my leaks (plural) early on and took a sledgehammer to them and welded inserts, see:-...

Making a bracket for the headlights

Darrin, fortunately they came with the car, try ebay, search for "compression springs", you'll want internal (hole) diameter to suit the diameter of the screws used, obviously length to suit. mine are fairly stiff. I'll measure tonight for you. K

Tornado TS40 Build Belfast Northern Ireland

This weekend I was working on the panels for the filler caps and the front apron, managed to get the panels on and the front apron cut. Unfort the previous owner had cut the holes in the apron but because I had repositioned all the body panels, these holes were in the wrong place. I thought is...

Cheers Brett, can I ask do you have a breather from the rear of the tanks as well, or just the front? Both Bill and Andy have a rear breather, which I don't have at present. So that seems like another small mod. My tanks are foam filled and at least on has had fuel in, I am thinking about a...

Nicks Forte Scratch Build - to Stunning Mk1 GTD

Nick, I don't know what the others think, but it may be worthwhile considering the body supplier fairly early on, even just to hang them on the wall for 6 months, but it gives you the opportunity to make damn sure it fits and locates and tweak as you build; that 1/4" gap can be elusive when it...

Guys thanks, I do have the later IVA doc,... I got confused, too many PDFs; anyway it looks like tethering is the easiest option, still. Andy thanks for the pix, I have some stainless braid from a work prototype, all I need now is sharp pliers.
