    Tarmac Rallying an SLC

The factory should be able to put you in touch with owners in Aus to see if they had any registration issues. In my opinion, the SLC is better on fast corners than it is on slow ones. I find in slow corners (50mph), I can get a spin faster than I can sense or recover. I have to admit I have a...

    Graziano Gearing and Drop Gears

Installing the Drop Gears... I bought a set of John's gears a while back and put them in this week. I posted about this on the FB group ("Superlite SL-C Owners & Builders" for any Owners or Builders that want to join). Figured I'd include my comments and thoughts here since a lot more will...

    SLC ball joints?

There is another possibility for ball joints. I've not had one in my hand, but they appear well well made, are intended for racing, and are from a respected chassis manufacturer. This is the HOWE 22301 and HOWE 22301S. It is cross referenced with K6136. These are about $70 from the normal...

    Graz Slave cylinder shim?

Did this get solved? We almost always pressure bleed brakes/clutch on all our cars. We have an assortment of reservoir tops with air quick connect fittings. Dial the air pressure down to 3-5psi, screw on the cap and bleed. Makes it a quick one-man operation. On the race cars we do it the...

    New KOSO gauge

You may also want oil pressure and water temperature gauges (not just a number). Might start thinking about what else you want and what will fit in visually with your plan. I didn't put much thought into it and my two individual gauges over the row of switches (in that center portion) ended up...

    New KOSO gauge

At that price you are close to a Racepak (and others) that have a lot more functionality and are meant for a car. Looks might fit some interiors better though.

    CamT's build thread

My Racepack IQ3 had the same issue in that I could not have it hooked up to the GM Can and use the OBDII port. Ended up putting in a switch to kill the dash when needed.

    Mark B's Build Thread

Mark, I have been through a number of sets of springs. I just double checked and the car currently has: 7" x 2.5" Hypercoil Springs (7B0900) 900lbs Rear 4" x 2.25" Hypercoil Springs (4A0800) 800lbs Front (with rams and helper springs) Ride around town is a bit harsh. It's fine on smooth...

    Spring LENGTH Question

With the Ram on top you can change springs w/o removing the shock (though a different top mount would be welcome!). I have Ram, 4" (2.25" ID) springs with helpers. Took a small bit of machining to go to 2.25", but it opens up the spring selection. You can run longer springs in back, I think I...

Work continues to look great. I’ll bet the driveshafts hold fine.

    wiring harness

Any typical hot-rod style harness will work. But make sure you get one with extra long wires. With the engine in the back, a 'standard' length harness may have a few short wires. Other than that, it's no different than wiring up a basic hot-rod. I am converting my from Infinity to a normal...

Superlite For Sale - Sort Of

Well, for $15k it would provide a drive train and lots of spare parts for someone building a new SLC kit. But at the asking price they can just keep it for the next movie.

    SLC Windshield

SHIELDS Premier Windshields - Racing Windshields and Windows I think "SUPERCOAT" is their anti-scratch coating. *IF* I remember correctly, you cannot have anti-fog AND supercoat on the same windshield.

    SLC Windshield

At PRI the company that makes the superlite lexan was demoing their scratch resistant coating. They had a half coated windshield and ran a wiper on it for days on end with the WIPER WRAPED WITH STEEL WOOL. The coated side looked good. The uncoated side was white.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

That rebuikdable option seems pricy for what it is - assuming that’s $1012 for a pair. But with rebuildable ones if you have to drill/tap for sensor ring it’s not a big deal as it’s a one time item.
