Did you buy the flywheel from Safir? Mine from them for a 302 is very small in diameter and 142 teeth.

Help mating zf and dart block!!

Take the clutch off completely and reinstall the ZF and ensure the thing mates up and sits correctly into the pilot bearing. Does the bearing or bushing go onto the end of the ZF - did you test fit it first? There is only one input shaft for the -2 and hence only one length shaft. You say...

    SPF Quick Jack dimensions

Can a SPF Mark I owner provide the dimensions (lengths) between the front and rear quick jack hooks as well as an approximate diameter of the inside lifting circle. I want to build a set of lifting bars in advance of receipt of my car. Much appreciated!

Help mating zf and dart block!!

This is an RBT drawing but if you note, the pilot is 17mm so I believe this would be the equivalent for your 5DS-25-2 which is what was in the Pantera.

Help mating zf and dart block!!

I have the same bearing from Bob Wood. It is 17mm i.d. The ZF snout is 0.669" (16.993). The snout has to actually interfere with the bearing. It is not "loose". I would take emory cloth and polish your input shaft some. I can't comment on your crank and whether it is different from a...

Also, you do have the backplate on the engine block, correct?

Help mating zf and dart block!!

Per Bob, the T/O bearing needs to have all the shims taken out of it (3) but you say that is not the binding point. The ZF "should" have a 17mm pilot on the input shaft end which needs to be inserted into the Ball bearing pilot which is in your crank. Did you try the bearing on the ZF shaft to...

    Need cooling help please

What air pressure are you putting on the vacuum system. They need on the order of 80 psi for the Venturi to work.

    Need cooling help please

If you are using a vacuum fill system, you certainly can achieve a vacuum with a properly sealed system. That is how they work. You pull a vacuum, let it sit to ensure no leaks, then release the vacuum and the coolant is pulled in. I highly doubt you will ever pressurize the system as you...

clutch alignment tool for RBT 5DS to 351W

I would replace the hydraulic TO bearing with standard unit. A lot of fiddling with the hydraulic to get it right. Search the forum here for other's experiences.

Do you have the pilot bearing already installed in the crank?

clutch alignment tool for RBT 5DS to 351W

Not sure what input shaft your RBT used as there are a few specs but the stock Pantera ZF which I am "guessing" is your spec is a 1 and 1/16" diameter 10 spline tool like the Ford mustang. The pilot bearing and ZF snout is 17mm or .67mm...

    Very cool GT40/Cobra tool

Thanks all. Questions: 1. What size tool - 1/2" or 3/4" drive and what type of torque wrench do you use? 2. What torque value - I read 300 ft/lbs up to 400 ft/lbs in various threads

    Very cool GT40/Cobra tool

Looking for any recent updates from real world field use of this tool: knockoffspinnertool.com I have read comments from the "cobra" people that unless a spinner is impacted by a dead blow hammer, it will never tighten properly. Curious how this tool achieves that? thanks in advance
