    Alex's SLC build thread

Kurt, I forgot the whole purpose of the seat brackets was to get them more in-board. Those steel brackets you made came out great. Alex, if you want to get the seat more in board than the stock RCR brackets take a look at Kurt’s build page. If you still want to use the RCR brackets but need...

    Alex's SLC build thread

Alex, As long as you have two outer brackets that point in the right direction you should be good. The inner brackets you can’t see,

This is new KOSO gauge that was sent with my slc

This was Koso’s state of the art back in 2019. Fran ordered this for me. I wound up selling it to another builder since I went with the AIM Dash and PDM. Thought it looked great…

Most builders angle the seat slightly toward the center. The steering wheel may need to be angled as well. if you want it lined up with your body which I recommend.

Sealing front SLC body to chassis

Wondering what other builders are doing to seal up this area? Was thinking of fabricating some close out panels in this area, but maybe there is a simpler solution…

    Mark B's Build Thread

Mark, Thanks for posting this. Glad to hear the battery fired the engine right up. I also went with an Antigravity battery after Dusty and a couple other Ultima builders recommended them.

I would remove the battery case from its mounting bracket. The fuse block would stay in place. I reversed the top two screws to keep the fuse block bracket in place and have something to hang the battery case on when reinstalling…

Finally at the point of installing the electrical components. This thread shows the approach taken to install the battery cables, fuse blocks, and grounding cables. Here is a video on the process… Superlite SL-C Build 111 - Master Fuse and Power Cable Install The battery is installed on the...

    WTB graziano transmission

I would try John B at HCF Autosports. He can source the Tansaxle, drop gears, and high performance clutch.

    Joel’s SL-C Build Thread

The SLC is a cool ride and I hope the AC system will blow “Cold As Ice” with a leak free system… This post covers crimping the AC Hoses. I debated bringing the hoses to an AC shop, but was concerned they would not be clocked properly so purchased a hydraulic crimping tool from Amazon. This...

    Alex's SLC build thread

I think the advantage of mounting the lines inside is that the flexible brake line goes right to the bulkhead fitting and is at a 90 degree angle which works well. The disadvantage is that you have to get in the footwell to plumb it. Not bad when you have access holes during the build process...

    Alex's SLC build thread

To me the rear right and left are unusable as is. My factory lines ended an inch or two from the rear stanchions. Right is too long, left is too short. The rear brake lines and clutch line going to the front of the footbox looks good. A far as front brake lines, looks like you are missing...

    Alex's SLC build thread

The brake lines have changed over the model years. Post up the pics of what you have and either I or another builder may be able to help. Bill at RCR has always been very helpful replying to questions as well. Many folks make their own lines for one reason or another. The fellow builders on...

SL-C - tub to body screws

I used the Pegasus Floating Nut plates to mount the oil sump and intercooler tanks. I like the Pegasus because they come metric sizes and have the distorted threads. I used Domed Head Sealing Blind Rivets. They are pop rivets that seal the hole up. The aluminum ones have 100lbs sheer strength...
