I was going to order an Aviad GT40 replica Oil pan to replace my Armando, I like them as are only 6.5 inches deep so the bottom sat flush with my SGT floor, unfortunately, they now want over $400 for shipping, which is almost doubles the cost. Can anyone recommend an alternative? Thanks Nick

Update as I believe the root of the problem has been found. Drove up to EDA yesterday to drop off some bits, Ben looked at my sump pan and asked if it had been powder coated, he knew of a £40000 boat engine that had been ruined by blast cleaning residual left over by a pre powder coating...

Sorry Glenn, I am now fairly close to North Wales good point well made, but misread it as Devon which is were I grew up and is always tropical.

Interesting about the reflectors, I had my rear clip tethered so it could only be opened a small amount, not sure they even checked it. For the wheel arches stuck on a couple of these I bought on ebay which passed.

Thanks Dwight, Interesting, although I would have thought if the pilot bearing was not driven in enough the gearbox input shaft would butt up against it causing the crank to be pushed forward, resulting in damage on the front nearest the gearbox surface of the thrust washer not the rear nearest...
