So I have been in a wait-for-it mode since I ordered my new Grbx from California Motorsports. One of the changes I will need to make is the shifter. The 996T 6-speed is different from the G50s in that the cross gate throw is the opposite direction movement of the cable. Not the shifter but the...

    Height of radiator bleed line

I should add that the specific routing of the radiator to the expansion tank line isn't really critical. The constant flow of coolant through the system purges any air in the small-diameter bleed lines.

    Height of radiator bleed line

I have radiator air bleed lines on both of my cars. GTD40 and RCR SLC. All bleed lines on both cars are 1/4" ID with AN-4 fittings. The bleed lines exit the radiator at the top on both sides and then are T'ed together with a single line running back to the expansion tank in the engine room...

    Looking for info

Another way to look at this might be to clean up and separate the major pieces. Then photograph and offer for sale as replacement parts for others with a more complete project. Very little investment to do so and you might come up with more money than the value of the project as is.

Everybody should be aware that the long number/letter sequence on the RCR MSO is not a VIN number!!!!!! A VIN number CAN ONLY BE ISSUED BY A MOTOR VEHICLE MANUFACTURE!!!! That would be Ford, GM, Toyota, BMW, etc. Never a kit car manufacturer. Kit cars or home-built replicas are never issued...

    Electric Water Pump How to.

I left out the run on controller. If you have a manufacturer document on it I can look it that and include it if you like and it will work. Frankly, I don't think you need it. Just let the car cool down a bit before you turn it off.

    Electric Water Pump How to.

My advice would be to put all the temp sensors in the intake manifold. The coolant temp target is the coolant temp at the hottest location in the complete system. That's the top of the engine, heads, and by extension, the intake manifold. The fan on temp would be selected to be about 10F above...

    Newbie looking for an estimate

If I was in a similar situation I would start with what your relative has into the car? If he totaled up their costs to buy them back then, what would that total be. Then try and determine what would the major components in similar conditions cost to buy today ((engine, gearbox, wheels and...

    Camber front

It might be helpful to design in a range of adjustments instead of what the best guess might be as a final setting. As far as camber goes, you won't want it to go pos but might want to add neg. camber at some point. So I think if you can adjust from 0 to about -3 degrees you will be fine...

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

There is no such thing as rear caster. To measure caster at the front, the front tires need to be turned, as in direction change, a known amount and THEN caster can be calculated. Since the rear tires do not turn, as in direction change, there is no calculation possible as to caster. There is no...
