    Renegade Hybrids Trans for GT-40?

Not sure about what KEP can offer, and I'm afraid I haven't had a price from Renegade, but it looks like an expensive kit. As Lynn said the side shifter is probably brought in, from CMS (see Tim's post click here ) I have attached a photo Renegade sent me of it. Anyone got photos of the...

    Renegade Hybrids Trans for GT-40?

Here is a picture of the one supplied by Patrick and Powerhouse II. This picture is a couple of years old, so it may have been developed since then. This is the one for 930 normal (Porsche) way up. They also do a very similar one for G50 inverted. I don't have any photos of it. If anyone has...

    Renegade Hybrids Trans for GT-40?

I was speaking with Renegade a couple of weeks ago. They have changed their cable system recently from the one supplied also by Patrick and Powerhouse II to a different one which connects to the side shifter Lynn mentioned. They no longer supply the one supplied by Patrick and Powerhouse II...

    This takes the cake

That is really good. I'm sure your boy will remember that in future. Next you'll have to help him build a model kit 40. Maybe in a couple of years.

clutch release bearing fit to G50

Thanks Tim. Very useful link. It says "the circlip is shown being installed in Figure 40.". The Picture shows someone fitting it by hand. No way! I worked all round it tapping with a screwdriver and mallet until it popped in. I hope that is the correct way to do it. Thanks again. Next I...

clutch release bearing fit to G50

Can anyone post some instructions on how to fit the release bearing to the pressure plate for a G50. There is obviously a trick which I can't see in how to fit the spring ring to the bearing once the other bits are all in place. I don't want to clamp up the wrong things and snap something. Thanks

    Modifying a Porsche G50 Transaxle

Hi Kalun That info on the slave is very handy. I already have all I thought I needed, but I have a Porsche slave. Have you a part number / photos of the Audi unit. That sounds like it would be very handy.

RF 6 Point Cage - How much weight do I need to lose?

Not the RF cage, but here is how the DRB roll cage is fitted in the door area. Leaves quite a neat space for getting in and out with the bar to sit on and bars to hang from.

I also have Skype. Seems MUCH better than Microsoft Messenger for voice comms. I've used it to talk to Lynn and my in laws, with no problems. Very clear and very little delay, with quick connection.

    1012 at Goodwood

A very good day out. Fabulous cars, and a fabulous air display from a 747 while we were in the car park. Imagine - a 747 doing an air display!! Rounded off a very good day. And that web site for 1012 - very well done. A great website full off lots of information about the cars.

Maximum driver height ?? And one or two other Newbie Qs:

[ QUOTE ] but if it were easy to swap doors, I could go with that for the track, and swap back for street use [/ QUOTE ] That will raise some eyebrows. The doors are really what make the 40 difficult. Getting the fit of the doors right is an absolute pain in the rear. A spare door? Well...

    Hand brake answer?

Eric. In the UK the hydraulic handbrake is not OK. The car must have a mechanical means of holding the car. Hydraulic handrakes are used extensively on rally cars, but they maintain the mechanical linkages as well for MOT time (it is a requirement to be fitted at all times, but is only checked...
