    SVA handbrake

Those ap spot calipers are OK, but my understanding is that they have not been manufactured for many years now. The usual one to use instead is the brembo. Many Ult..as use them, as well as Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Here are some shots I took at a track day recently, and my rear setup.

    Clip Latches

    T. I'm sure Cary won't mind me sharing the idea with. It is a standard piece of DRB kit - very elegant and simple.

GT40 Australia(DRB) US Distributor Finished Car

I believe they are the standard DRB items, except that the round piece on the back has been made removable.

How to mount 6 pt seat belts

Leading on from this, can I ask for advice on where to mount these straps to on the floor of the 40? The straps will go through the hole in the floor of the seat, and then where? Almost straight back and mount on the floor anywhere convenient? Or is there more to it? Obviously, the floor would...

Disc brakes for C-4 corvette front suspension

Bill Couldn't you just get a plate made up similar to these? These are using radial mount rather than lug mount calipers but you would just have caliper mount holes parallel rather than perpendicular to the hub mount holes. The mount is bolted to the upright with bolts, nuts, and spacer tube...

    r/h and l/h threaded adjuster

Malcolm Thanks very much for the offer, but I think £2.70 for the bar from Rally Design would be cheaper than driving to Surrey. Thanks anyway All the best

    J40GT party pictures.....

Thanks very much to Martin and Charles for taking me out. I had a great day, and the weather turned out really nice. A very impressive turnout of cars in all. Not 1 but 2 Carrera GTs, both out on track, lots of Ferrari 360s, a Lamborghini, TR6, MGB, Austin 7. Excellent. I just need my car...

    r/h and l/h threaded adjuster

Thanks all. After writing it struck me as the sort of part that Rally Design would do. And there it is BM8 RH-LH Link Rod £2.70 In the catalogue on page 121, but not on the website. 9" long with 2" of left hand thread, 8" of right hand thread, (and 1" not threaded). Even includes a l/h...

    r/h and l/h threaded adjuster

Does anyone know where I can get one of these adjusters from in the UK? The type which is basically a tube threaded with a right hand thread in one end, and a left hand thread in the other. A r/h and a l/h rose joint can then be attached to either end. Someone must have them ready made in the...

    UK alternator

Don't know what I had been drinking when I measured it originally, but it is 147mm from centre of belt to rear of case. So I am looking for something around 140mm.

    UK alternator

A question to UK builders - I am looking for an alternator to use which is smaller than the usual US ones. I have a Summit V8 Ford alternator, but it is too long. It is too long by about 5mm, but 5mm offset on the belt is too much. This is with the back of the alternator body hard up against the...

    How to do to unsubscribe?

I have been here over 5 years now, and don't post an awful lot. Sorry about that, but I just don't find I have the time to read everything, post responses and build a car, as well as the normal work and family stuff. However, I do not agree with Eric and domtoni on their comments on this one...

    Alternator 3? wire connections

And I just got some feedback from Summit. They said "This should be run as a one wire alternator. One wire off the big terminal, to the battery." So now you know. If anyone else is interested it is Summit part number SUM-810304, and also available in different colours.
