Scott, I used those 6x1.0 Midwest Control cables with the Toyota shifter and got good results .... They are fairly stiff and strong ( Industrial parts ...) and the 21 cm throw lenght is an advantage for less angular flexion during the stroke operation ..... Note : I kept the 6x1.0...

I finally achieved the varnish polish, getting a "polish-elbow" on the way ! I used an electric spinning polisher, but that was not enought to avoid some desagrements ... As expected , blue color and general gloss are a little bit lighter than straight out of the cabin .... At this time ...

Eric, This is the installation I made for my GT40 ( A Riviera Scratchbuilt Gt40 - See posts # 15/16 )..;Not a SLC , but could give ideas ... The box is a 88 G50/01 short nose ; the shifter is a 87 or 89 Corolla and cables are 1/4 " from Midwest Control ; the rod ends are all 8 mm...
