The SGT exhaust fouled the inner rear clam where the upper trailing arms come through. So had cut them out to get clam to shut. The trailing arms are also in a more outboard position so cut, and begin to paste with clearance. Need to order more panel bond to glue the last bits in but if should...

Excellent job with your build. Sorry I had not seen until now but keep up the good work and the blog. Where is your internal AC unit going to fit?

Had to clearance the air duct for the header. Then completely sever and reset the lower spyder drop legs as they had a weird set I couldn’t correct with heat and cooling. So mocked in place then some panel weld to hold. Today I will reinforce with glass.

Using a piece of Z bar from McMaster Carr,I maid a retainer for the top of the bulkhead window so it will stay pressed tight against the rollbar/bulkhead. Then trimmed offending glass on the inner rear clam panels so it will fully shut now. Clearanced around on header at the rear brake cooling...

So turns out drilling the dash harder than it seems, the larger tach and speedo holes are a touch too big in the US sizes. If you are a fraction off it shows. Running hole saw backwards is the key but it can still jump. Thought the key and fuel switch placement was total shite, especially as I...

Added 1/2” angle and 1 1/2” angle to add support for the rear glass and frame sourced from Llama Bite. Amazing how many times you can misdrill a hole, tap, weld up, redrill, retap! 3 friggin times. The welded holes demolished drill bits, I was down to my last one and finally got it. I was...

Revotec COMEX 10” fans test fitted after a day and a half of fiberglass mods to the nostrils. I was going to put an original oil cooler set up on the left side which meant only one fan. Finally came to my senses as this is Humid South Texas and cooling is a must! Oil cooler will relocate to...

Best practices for keeping heat in header pipes?

That is really cool, I was wondering how they made such a good job of that insulation.

While making room and preparing to putty the dash for the vent opening, I noticed my prior dash mods to level out a droop over the tach just was not right. So I cut the seam again and with help of a heat gun and the sun, 106F degree day, I was able to pull up the top, level, then the underside...

Best practices for keeping heat in header pipes?

I would like to find the dimpled aluminum sheet heat shield like OEM’s use to form around components

Finally getting back on my project with a simple mod on the chassis to notch for my coolant tubes to have clearance and not to be in a bind. Ordered a second Revotec Comex fan and dumping the oil cooler up front, will place in the rear. I have decided that more fan forced cooling the better.
