Thanks for the reply, Tom. I tried that but got inconclusive results. When any of the throttle bodies were disconnected I couldn't bring the rpm up to duplicate the problem. The "stiction" as you called it, is only noticeable with the engine running. Can't see where its hanging up visually.

George, My photo is mis-leading. The cable goes almost 360 degrees around the bell crank circle to where it attaches so I think we are on the same page setup wise. Kim

Sorry Gale, my last post was a reply to George's post. I did all the things you did to isolate the problem. I still got the hang up of the idle with the cable disconnected so its definitely an issue with the intake. The Lokar cable has a stainless braided housing with a teflon insert..stranded...

Bill, thanks for your input. It confirms what I was thinking. I might add some length to the arm of the pedal, get more leverage there. I don't want to change the spring action at the intake for fear of adding to the problem I already have with the slow return to idle when hot.

My source at Timken said the plant that produced the higher quality OEM bearings, Delphi (sp?), sold their tooling to a chinese company about 3 years ago when they closed their doors. Hard to say whether that company is producing the bearing again at a higher quality and if so, what brand...

What is the current experience you have had with replacement C4 front wheel hubs used on the RCR cars? I need to replace mine and Fran recommended AC Delco or SKF hubs. An exhausted search for SKF hubs(4 bolt) has come up empty and the Delco bearings are a couple of weeks back order or more...

I’m looking for suggestions on how to install anti submarine straps in my RCR GT40. Can anyone share how they accomplished this with an aesthetically pleasing result? I hate to just chop into the seats without a solid plan. Photos would be great! Thanks! Kim

Thanks for the input everybody. Gonna go with the plexi for now.I might have to notch it to fit under my roll bar which would be difficult with the glass. I’ll decide down the road if I want to go with the glass. Cheers!
