I did about the same as Cam. raised the column by about 1/2" from where it was originally and moved it to the left about 3/8" from the centerline of the binacle. With the seat and pedals angled, you don't really notice it in the car. I waited to final mount things until I had the center gage...

I had the same issue and talked to Fran. He had me remove everything in the rear (roll bar struts, engine mount, "K" support), loosen the two engine plate side mounts, install the engine plate and gradually tighten everything down. The engine plate and mounts are stressed parts of the chassis...

Thanks. With those two connector drawings, I was able to find the GM part number so I think I can get just the connector and pins and avoid having to make the splices. I was surprised there wasn't more availability from the standard wiring/column suppliers but I guess most just offer columns...

I am currently in the wiring phase of the project after being away for a while. I thought I remembered a post somewhere about the column and connectors used. I am using a Ron Francis wiring harness but it came with a connector that is for the older style GM columns without the headlight switch...

I just trailed my partially completed SL-C and used a strap around the lower control arm to winch it up. I have race ramps to extend my ramp and manually raised to front some with a spanner to clear the splitter. Posted a picture of the setup on my build thread.
