    Installing Plexiglas question

Hi Vaughn, One thing I would mention is that many plexi windscreens I have seen have been installed by first creating a hole of that is smaller than the head of the screw you plan to use, but large enough to allow you to install a nylon bushing in the hole in the plexi and have the screw pass...

G50 - How Much Lash Is OK ?

Hi Peter, I have no transaxle experience, but I have set up a lot of Ford rear ends, so just as another point of reference, take this for what it is worth. For a standard 9" (Ford) straight axle rear end, the Ford service manual states if you are looking to resolve a clunk, and have less...

    Good Old Father Xmas.......

Hi John, It turns out that most of the time we only use two lanes - fours lanes was really overkill and the track would probably just as much fun with just two lanes. And to be honest, I started out the same way with a Scalextric set, and I think the kids actually like the shorter tracks...

Very Nice JPC - but be careful, or before you know it you will end up like this :-) And yes, I should be working on my RCR! Best Regards, Al

    302 Drawing ? w h y?

Like Ron mentioned, I bolted up my headers thinking I was going to have to be very gentle with the mockup block. That worry lasted about 2 minutes and I was soon tapping on the collectors with a rubber mallet! The only reason you see a wood block between the transaxle and the exhaust is to...

How can I get dash to fit

Of course I would prefer to purchase a defrost panel from RCR, but Tornado lists one in their parts catalog that I suspect would require less fabrication: Full parts list for the TS 40 40-82* Dash demister louvered panel in Aluminium with fixings. £38 $57 Al

    Can I Do This????

Hi Bill, Use this (or similar from SEM etc.) and it will probably never come off - but I would still go with the 2-sided automotive tape. Regards, Al

This Weeks Stupid Award Goes To Me!!

One alternative to drilling is to find a thin wall brass tube (either from a hobby shop or Ace Hardware's K&S tubing display) that is the diameter of the hole you need. Sharpen the edge (the inside edge ideally, using a jewelers file), attach to a soldering iron (a 15 watt one for electronics)...

What's this stuff in my oil filler cap?

Looks like water (coolant) in the oil to me. I'd throw some dye in the coolant and see if you spot dye in the oil after a few heat/cool cycles. Regards, Al H

Mark, I think you are correct, even just 01E without a user name specified only yields 26 threads, starting in 6/2006. I'll take a look tonight and consult with Ron. Regards, Al

    GT40 Stocking Stuffers

Ho Ho Ho, I was at Target earlier in the week and I found all of these in the toy section while my kids were buying more Nintendo Wii games... they could not understand why I would care about a toy that does nothing more than roll. :) The Gulf Ford GT is from a Matchbox blisterpack...
