    Quick update, nothing jamming, bolts all ok, no rotation when wheels off the ground, so box out, probably not bad idea as the half shafts were leaking oil, when rebuilt there were no o rings so I replaced those and the seals but probably not correctly but when you spend £3k on a gearbox with...

    Thanks all top tips, noted re selector forks, this was a fully recon box so not great if they are worn it was not cheap to supply rebuilt that's for sure, will check bolts and snagging later today, all much apprciated

    Evening all Ok got an issue with my box, finally got the car on wheels on the ramps I purchased, tried on the weekend to roll them off the ramps and nothing, box is locked right up. I can roll to the rear about 6" maybe 8" at best then it locks bang right up, Chris Cole thought maybe 2 gears...

    Cheers Don top tips!! That convoluted pipe is a tricky one I have used protection on parts of the loom but on a lot its just the wrapped loom, was it mainly in the engine bays they worried about that?

    Tool wise I would recommend a band saw for trimming panels, used that a hell of a lot, rivet spacer a godsend, lots of 4mm drill bits, I use the Milwaukee drill bits hex shank ones Screwfix sell them and they are proper sharp and last ages. Also needed is a bloody good sense of humour, patience...

    That's a whole sled pack there my daughter would die for a Huskie like those!! Looking good, I would look to get a set of these I got mine from Paul Bav when he got his build rolling, I think he got them from Mick they make life sooooooo much easier. You can roll the chassis around with ease...

    Get yourself a rivet spacer as well best tool in the box for this phase plus air rivet gun its a ball ache without as the others say, also I used my bandsaw quite a lot for trimming panels, thin fine tooth blade is really good.

    Got mine from then as they seem to have a stock of 302 blocks they did some work and I finished off, nice blokes, Mike sent me some really good info when I was at your stage well worth a read
