Installed Mallory pump. Roadtested an extended period and gave it the beans a few times. Seems to run ok. High pressure pump never seemed stressed. Thanks Howard! Of course much more testing will be needed;)

I ordered a Carter P4601HP (before I read Howard’s post). I don’t know if the motor is cooled by fuel as indicated by Neil. I’m still going to call Holley as suggested by Randy. The Carter had a lot of reviews that were very positive. Very few were indications of a failure. Fingers crossed.

I don’t discount any of these theories. I’ll be busy this weekend. As far a reprogramming I wanted this resolved before I get it dynoed. It is a steady throttle/accel situation and it definitely affects the high pressure pump.

Before you do any suspension analysis and or adjustments the car needs to be close if not exactly at it’s wet weight. Engine, transaxle, cooling system, fluids and weight in the drivers seat. The picture looks like an unladen chassis.

That’s the quality Fran sells. I did some minor body mods for fitment and haven’t even smoothed the body parting lines. That’s next winters project.
