Anyone with a GT40 in central new jersey ?

Matt, maybe the wrong time of year to ask for a ride in New Jersey. I'm down in Charlotte if you want to take a road trip.

    Australia Burning

I had the joy of living in Australia for five years, and I visit every other year or so. So very sorry to see the horrible fires there. All the best to those of you in Australia!

Door window removal and or other options?

I installed helicopter vents in both windows several years ago and they move a lot of air through the cabin. Of course, that has limited benefit depending where you live once the heat and humidity build in the Summer months. But they are MUCH more effective than the square window vents.

    Power & Tires

My CR6ZZ Avons have been on my car for 5 years. I have about 12,000 miles on them. The tread still looks fine but the traction has degraded to the point where I'm probably going to change them in 2020. Prior to the Avons I had BF Goodrich T/A Radials and I would not go back to those. I know...

    Serious thoughts on CAV

Mark, I've owned my SPF MK1 for seven years and have put more than 16,000 miles on it. Pat's recommendation is a good one. If you're serious about making an investment like this you should take the time to check out each of the three main brands. To investigate RCR, you should tour their...

    Insurance Question

I just received a letter from Midwest Classic insurance telling me that they've been bought out by Hagerty and my insurance will only be good until March of 2020. I was paying $800 a year for a replacement value of $150,000 with Midwest and the ability to put as much as 6,000 miles on my car...

    Injection stack covers?

I use the same K&N filters as Bill does. Protects the engine very well but still shows the beauty of eight stack injection.

Ford Vs Ferrari Premier Movie Event

Your car looks great, Gary. I made a deal with my local theater. They gave me two movie posters in exchange for a crew incentive where I'm giving an employee a ride in my car later this month.

    Ford vs. Ferrari--New Official Trailer

I saw the movie tonight and thought it was excellent. Only saw a few flaws (e.g., the cockpit of the GT40 still showed the 12v outlets of the Superformance cars). What did everyone else think?

    SPF 50th Anniversary Edition

Rick, other than the Gulf colors are there other upgrades to this roller compared to other SPF cars?

    Manufacturer opinions request

Joe, if you're looking for a kit and you're serious about investigating your options, I recommend that you schedule a visit to RCR's shop just outside of Detroit.

    Superformance A/C controls

I keep the defrost fairly low to pump as much air as I can through the dash vents. On a good day the SPF air conditioning system works....sort of....

    External Slave Cylinder

I've had a few people reach out to me on where to source parts for the external slave cylinder. If you'd like to know more about the parts or process for the upgrade, you can contact Paul Whitlock at [email protected]

    Excellent Video Posted to YouTube

The following video was posted to YouTube today showing the GT40 that Ken Miles drove at LeMans in 1966. Some nice shots of that car as well as others.

    External Slave Cylinder

Paul has built a great reputation among GT40 owners. A great resource for anyone looking to improve their GT40, Daytona or Cobra. A Ford guy all the way.

    Winching the GT40

Eric, for what it's worth I've also used a winch on the front of my Superformance GT40 as well, attached to the black bar in front of the radiator. When I do that I just make sure that the strap is attached at either end of the bar and not in the middle.

    External Slave Cylinder

Paul Whitlock is in the process of installing a new engine for me. While we're making that change, Paul suggested that we replace the internal slave cylinder in my ZF transmission with the original type shaft and fork throw out bearing assembly with external slave cylinder. Pictures of the...
