I don't have my brakes yet, but went with 18" wheels because of the availability of tires and improved clearance for brakes. Your wheel builder should be able to tell you if your intended brakes will work with their wheel. I'll sell you mine and save you the trouble!

The first vendor I ordered from ended up being a dead end. I was able to contact the US distributor listed on the Aerocatch website and ordered directly from them: Clarendon Fasttrack

The camlocs are very similar to what I always sent with the car. They just don’t look substantial enough for my taste. I’ve seen them on a few AP cars that were for sale on Bring a Trailer. I think the Aerocatch latches will be a good compromise.

I looked for a few weeks for Hartwell/aviation latches. Nothing out there that wouldn't have taken major modifications/fabrication to work. What was out there was in the UK....and I'm in the US.

Ordered 4 of the Aerocatch latches from abautoworks.com for $600 shipped. I think they will be 1000% better than the latches shipped with the car that most people use with AP builds, and I'm sure I will find somewhere else to spend the $400 saved!

Easy Off oven cleaner may get them to a raw aluminum state.

RCR is 4-6 weeks out on their latches...and from what I have gathered about how they handle backorders, getting them could be a giant headache. They don't do lists for people waiting for parts. I'm not opposed to fabricating something as I have the tools and the means. I'm just trying to figure...

I can’t find any on eBay US or UK. Maybe I’m using the wrong search, but I’ve used Hartwell GT40 latch and nothing close comes up.

Tornado is across the pond, RCR is 4-6 weeks out, its at least $1K for a set...there has to be an alternative that is functional and looks the part, but I haven;t found it yet.

The rear seat delete was far from perfect, but only 1 coat of Raptor Liner made it look perfectly smooth! I think I’ll be using this stuff on the inner clams after nocking down the high points in the glass to make everything look more presentable when they are open.

I don't think anything will look right except "Hartwell" latches. Tornadohas some good repro's , but shipping would be a costly pain. I put an email in to RCR to see what their availability is, and I want to make sure they look like Hartwell latches. Probaby gonna just have to bit the bullet...
