    Mufflers or Megaphones?

I will go mufflers then! Topic decided! Next, world peace to be discussed! E

    Mufflers or Megaphones?

The Megaphones seemed a little loud for the street, the mufflers seemed too quiet. What is everyone running on the street? Is there a compromise? Eric

Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

Thanks Neil and Bill! It helps to see what other people are doing, just so I do not forget anything. Vulcan is a good brand for cargo/vehicle straps/ratchets. I have them for the last 13 years for my Cobra, and about time to get some units (webbing looks old). Eric

Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

Thanks Terry! I am not considering adding e-track to my existing trailer, I would most likely then buy a new trailer with a side door to facilitate driving the car in rather than retro fit my existing trailer. Agree about the chocks. E

Is anyone using the through the wheel straps? Eric

Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

Was going to use these for holding the GT40 (BRM) wheels Through the wheel straps Question: I will have to winch the car into and out of my enclosed 24' trailer. This means I would be towing the car without the car in gear. Anyone else doing that? Eric PS trying to think of everything...o_O

The deliveries on these has gone to 5-6 months, so I need to get off the pot. I am going to make a quick look around for a SPF GT40 used that someone has babied, but I need to order by July 1st if I go new. Wish me success, this has been a hard purchase for me. E

    New old guy

Back from Hillbank. No issues at all with me in and out of the GT40 (I am happy to report). For those of you following my search for the build that will make me happy, I have now turned toward a 351W based motor and given up on a coyote (for all sorts of reasons). I answered many questions...

Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

In my experience and what I have been told the above is correct. I would think the only way to get the correct tongue weight would be to load the car with the rear in first so the engine/transmission weight works to your benefit. Five things that really help when towing an enclosed trailer...

Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

I am assuming you trailer a GT40 with the rear in front so that the engine/trans weight is on the tongue right? Depending on if you have a left or right hand drive, that would make a difference in which side (potentially) you have a side door on your trailer. E

Thanks Howard. The oil consumption and that particular issue is pretty well known. (I am a member over at SVTP). The oil consumption would appear to be based on correctly breaking in the engine, and if you flog the engine it will use oil (most engines will). My FE leaks oil....drives me crazy...

"We can order set up for a Coyote" Doug said the same about the order of the car. "If you find a wrecked GT350" All I would have to do is wait right? ….LOL I am checking on my options for that motor, to see if I can have one built in lieu of a Ford Racing or wrecked motor. Lance had his...

I haven't made my mind up, but I really love the sound of a four valve engine, and modern ignition is most appealing . I did have a horrible experience with an 8-stack system, so no matter what I am not going to use any stack injection. (mass air flow sensor) Resale?, oh I don't think I am...

Mike, I understand what you are saying, just move ahead of trailing cars. Yup, I figured as much. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and feedback. This car would be the third car including a 2014 GT500, and my SPF 2715. So I do not think I will put more than 1,000 miles a year on it as I...

    Street Driving

Bill, can you post (or link to a post) on your camera system? This would be something I would look at for sure. Not being stock doesn't bother me, as long as things are tight and have a purpose. This may up set the faithful, but I am pretty serious about a coyote motor, possibly the Voodoo...

    Street Driving

So as I explore my build of a GT40, I will have a few questions from you wonderful people, since you are the experts. I remember before I got my first Cobra I was told how horrible it would be driving it on the street, with speed bumps, pot holes, and more. However that was completely wrong...
