    Check out this LS intake!

    WOW! That's fantastic!

IMHO the use of bellows is a more appropriate solution. :) As I said, probably just an oversight by whoever was setting up the display.

    Check out this LS intake!

Yep, that's it. If you compare it to some of the other long runner ITB type intakes, they are actually quite reasonable, price wise.

    Check out this LS intake!

The way it was explained to me is that the reason the high rise with the carb is better for top end is purely due to flow. In essence the high rise and carb setup is a relatively straight and equal shot down into the cylinders. Whereas the low profile EFI units, like the FAST and stock units...

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

You can ask my wife that one... "Just sit there and look pretty!" :)

    Check out this LS intake!

Beautiful, for sure. Just looking a little closer, I notice the slip fit headers. I have always been of the opinion that those were a "no-no" on an injected engine. Especially if they are BEFORE the O2 sensors, as it appears they would be on this engine. Probably just something put together...

To quote a very wise man: :)

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

Well, there are a couple of builds going on right now that are attempting to test the envelope of a really nice <$40k total build cost GTM. I am anxious to see them. Also, Yvonne Migliori's GTM, which is "built by the book" with a ~$1500 paint job, reportedly was done for less than $40k. It's...

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

Well, like I said above, there are roughly 350 kits that have been sold. How many of them have been completed? Probably, just rough estimate here from watching the forum, 1/2 to 2/3 of them, maybe. I would think that 200 kits complete enough to be registered would not be out of the question...

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

Couldn't agree with you more, JS. The GTM is flat out about "bang for the buck". While most builders get "carried away" and end up spending what a nice SLC will cost, there is no doubt in my mind that a nice GTM can be built for WAY less than an SLC. As you said though, there is really two...

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

Thanks for that Fran. As you probably recall, I have never had anything bad to say about the SLC except for the fact that I would have preferred that the SLC not be sold as an "all or nothing" kit. You have done that in your offering of "stages" and I applaud you for that. Still interested...

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

As far as I know, there are three that have seen sanctioned events. But you and I are both trying to change that, for both brands, aren't we? :) :lipsrsealed:

Anyone got an RCR SL-C race car?

Come on now guys, I never said that it would cost someone $300k to build an SLC-R. Quite the opposite. I said I was quite sure that a nice and very potent SLC-R could be built for under $100k. I prefaced just about every statement about Bob's SLC-R with that language. All I said about a $300k...

Superlite Eagle @ 25 Hour of Thunderhill 2010

Come on guys. Do you really think that $20k+ was spent on computers because it's "cool"? I agree that a very nice and quick race SLC can be built for around the $100k mark, but if it ends up competing with the SLC-R that was at TH...well I know someone that is gonna be pretty pissed that he...

Superlite Eagle @ 25 Hour of Thunderhill 2010

I think I have a new designation for the SLC that showed up at Thunderhill... SLC-$

    Battlecry..!!!!!

Yes he did/does! Combine Fran's knowledge with near unlimited $$$ and the result is the SLC-R that showed up at the TH 25. That is a wickedly fast car, but not exactly the average SLC build. It WILL, however, force us, Team PDG GTM-R, to get faster. As I had expected it would. :)...

Superlite Eagle @ 25 Hour of Thunderhill 2010

Re: Superlite Eagle @ 25 Hour of Thunderhill 2010 Crash damage to the frame and suspension was relatively minor and could have been repaired in a couple hours. The big issue for the GTM-R was that an oil line got knocked off and the engine was run for about half a lap with no oil as the driver...

What I was really referring to was that it looked like both my head and shoulders would end up right next to the window/door. I'm 6'3" and 200 lbs. No question that there is plenty of leg room, and just plenty of room in general in the passanger area down low. It's the head and shoulders area...

The SLC was beautiful, although it looked like it would be a little tight in the shoulders and head area for me. I was not offered to sit in it by Fran. :( Kind of surprised that RCR didn't have a bidder showing, but that Ford GT that RCR works on was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! I found it kind...
