    pics of 1062 rebuild

Roy,thanks for the tip. I don't know hoe that's been done,I am going to check. Some more pics of the rust we found after acid-dipping the monocoque. You can see GT40's were never built to last this long. It also shows the risk of not restoring an original car.

    pics of 1062 rebuild

Enclosed are a few pics from 1062 being rebuilt after the Le Mans Classic fire. A leaking fuel cell under braking for the first Hunaudieres chicane at some 175 mph, caused the fuel to fly out of the sillon to the front brake, ignited and flashed inside. Fortunately the extinghuiser worked...

    P/1083 Refresh Pictures

Adding that big fuel cell for Le Mans Classic is strange. The races are only 45 minutes and the regular fuel cells in the sills hold enough fuel for that; in my GT40 is enough fuel in the normal tanks to last 45 minutes. On top of that, having a fuel cell in the nose is not a very safe idea!

    1075 owner

Rob Walton's 1075 certainly wasn't bought by his father. He started racing late because his father wouldn't want him to do so. He bought his collection himself and has turned out to be one hell of a driver. I've raced against him and he's just very good. This is not one of the guys with just...

FIA Appendix 7 and the use of "recontructed, etc" in competio

Re: FIA Appendix 7 and the use of \"recontructed,etc\" in comp No pre-66 cars should run with wide wheels, vented discs or anything larger than a 289; Gurney-Weslake heads should never be on a pre-66 entered car. Wheel are free in FIA if they use the original dimensions. At Goodwood some cars...

Anyone interested in a brand new 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II?

I hope the post '65 parts will no longer be allowed at Goodwood; some cars ran oversized engines and I know some GT40's use carbon-fibre bodies...... The FIA Historic Passport is completely ridiculous, it costs a fortune and I don't need to pay somebody to give me a paper telling me what I...
