    Electric Power Steering

Thank you. That's not the thread I was looking for but there is some useful information there. The ones I was able to find were: Automotive Power Steering : Electric Power Steering Systems - EPS - Automotive & ATV Electric Power Steering Parts, EPS Flaming River Motorsports Electric Power...

    Electric Power Steering

I know this was brought up in another thread but I can't seem to find it right now. Fran, I believe you pointed out some performance electric power steering options for the SL-C a while back and unfortunately it looks as though I forgot to save them. I wasn't able to find much with Google and I...

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

I would like to see some MT900 rear "window" vents and some Zonda R styled rear brake duct intakes on the SL-C. As has been pointed out, the rear window is useless except for showing off the engine. I've been trying to picture these on the SL-C.

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

I wouldn't say it was uncompetitive, but even so, it did win the 24hrs and was then banned which says a lot. (It does call the diesels of today into question though.) Of course, you island dwellers always get nice used cars for a pittance. It's just like buying used cars or engines from Japan...

    RCR's Next car should be.....

I don't think this one has been suggested yet. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) BMW Nazca C2 I could see dropping a S62 in one of these.

Dave Just throw this image in your sig and then when anyone tries to put down rotaries you can just point. Edit: Damn, just remembered you can't put images in your signature.

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

Supposedly it was designed with turbocharging and direct injection in mind for the future. 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Coyote Engine - 5.0 Mustang & Fast Fords Also, it's speculated that the extra recess on the head is for direct injection.

Is there a build log anywhere for the SL-C?

Yes, once you put a filter on an ITB setup you lose a lot of your gains but ITBs still provide better delivery when comparing two filtered setups. The problem with the manifold is that it's not just the size of the manifold that matters, it's how it flows. Tuning an intake manifold is more...

Is there a build log anywhere for the SL-C?

I wouldn't say sacrilegious. If you're running wide open throttle for an extended period of time you'll probably see less of a difference between the two setups. There's gonna be a big difference in throttle response though. You're going to have to fill those plenums with air before you can fill...

Is there a build log anywhere for the SL-C?

No, it's still gonna be more restrictive. ITBs should net you more power but as soon as you try to interrupt the airflow with filters, piping, etc. you cut into your gains. The more direct the route is to fresh air the better. You're better off running the ITBs into a plenum and designing a...

    SL-C #50 Allan's Build

Same question. It looks better than I've seen previously. I'm still not sold on the center "pod?" design. Think I'd prefer it to be flatter and waterfall down to the center console. P.S. Do you have 2 SL-C's and a GTM or are those for someone else?

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

Don't know for sure. The NHTSA has a case open on it now to investigate the issue. I've read there were problems with it previously in Land Rovers. Looks like Ford just made a poor choice when it came to the tranny. Feds launch Mustang transmission probe after Jalopnik, forum stories

    Coyote 5.0 in SL-C

No he means those cool things that decrease the number of moving parts and allow Honda engines to cruise passed 200,000+ miles without breaking a sweat, producing power more efficiently and allowing you to rev the nuts off the engine. :lipsrsealed: Let's hope Ford put more engineering into the...

ABS worth it in the SL-C?

Thanks for the offer Alan, the Corvette ABS retrofit is pretty well documented over on the GTM forum. I definitely agree with the "better safe than sorry" argument. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Driving on the street is different from driving on the...

ABS worth it in the SL-C?

But that's not really a viable option. Pulling an ABS unit from another car is a problem in itself as it will not have been tuned for the SL-C. That is the problem with the retrofitted Corvette ABS setup. I was reading, what little information I could find, about the kit and the guys over on...

ABS worth it in the SL-C?

I brought it up in another thread but was looking to get more opinions. Is a system like the Bosch M4 ABS Kit worth putting in the SL-C? SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

Do any of them also support ABS or is the OEM still the only option? It would be nice to have both TC and ABS for street driving. I know the GTM guys got the Corvette ABS working but that's not optimal. I've been searching for another option. A tunable aftermarket ABS would be useful.

    SLC Build Thread-Chassis #53

What is it, just over twice the flow of a 102mm TB? Are those 52mm TBs? With some long runners for some nice torque figures. Your project could prove very inspirational if it works out well. Keep it up. BTW, what are you gonna use to tune it?
