Well here is what I was looking for! A bit pricey (5 times what I paid for the valve covers), but looks like they would work. Anyone have any thoughts on this company?

I picked up a set of old Ford valve covers and only now am wondering if a newer set of heads will fit under them? How about AFR 185's with a stud girdle? If not, does anyone macke a spacer to fit between the head and cover?

I know Earl's sells that type of tool, but nothing for 2". Did a web search for Crox with no luck, so no good there.

Howard, I like your idea. Does it stay put? I was thinking of paying someone to put a weld bead on my aluminum pipe, but if your idea works, I'll have some extra beer money.
