Does anyone know what these two wires connect to? Any help would be appreciated!

    dipstick calibration

Just to chime in late, the stock oil pan that came out of my engine shows 4.25 inches from the top with 4 quarts of water and 4.0 inches from the top with 5 quarts of water.

    F1 Madness

An F1 car basically has a flat bottom, with the exception of a skid plate. I believe this is 10mm thick and 50mm wide, although that is pulling from a weak memory. This was instituted to lessen the aero forces. At the end of a race the plank still has to be a certain minimum thickness. Years...

Okay, maybe that was a little harsh. I'll blame the cold beer for the words, but not the feelings.

    F1 Madness

I question Stoddard. After all he is the one who played his sham on F1, even taking them to court when he had brought '05 spec cars to Australia. I understand his contempt for Max, (I feel the same way), but he makes it sound like Ferrari, Jordan and Bridgestone are also to blame. Screw him!

That ought to shut Patrick Head up.

    F1 Madness

Really quite interesting sitting in the stands as all this came about. Most people had no idea what was happening, and the race announcers did not say one word prior to the start of the race. We had brought a laptop to the race and were able to stay abreast of the situation via wireless...

    Charging air conditioning system

I plan on having a professional do this for just these types of reasons. Plus I see no reason to go through multiple dryers. I do believ the answer to your question is, yes, the system must first be evacuated prior to charging. I seem to remember a rough rule of thumb was that one can of oil...

Rolf, your car looks great! Do you mind me asking how you handled the black around the light covers? I'm at this stage right now, and it would be nice to hear how you handled this.

Would this water pump be the correct type,,,,,

I have the 8501-A50 which is the kit that includes both the cover and the pump. I think/hope this is the correct unit. If you look in the catalog it is the short front assembly.

    Tach

What a shame! I stand by my other thread's comments - Robert's customer service is excellent. Too bad this had to be aired here, you're right Hershal, a phone call would have been the way to go.

    Tach

John, I've been away fro awhile, is your tach working now? I'm a bit curious; I just had a quick glance at the back of mine and didn't see and switches on the back of mine. Just a little plug with about three wires. I've got a MOTEC as well, hopefully my tach goes with it! Hope this has been...

    Bolts and washers ?

I love inspectors. They can make life a living hell with no grounding reality nor facts. Yet when things they approve breakdown, they have zero liability. Most times small-minded people running other peoples lives.

    Roaring Forties #52

Re: RF52 Geez, I just looked and the first post I put down on body work was a year ago! Even with all the agony, I will be glad to have done it myself when done. Thanks for the kind words!

    The ultimate "paint job"?

Re: The ultimate \"paint job\"? On a slightly different subject, a water tank recently completed using our paint. San Benito, home of Freddy Fender!

    New garage

correct on the heavy plastic under under the slab. This vapor barrier is also a MUST if you plan on applying an epoxy on the slab. Remember though, with warmer temperatures in the spring and fall, your slab will get wet as its temperature will be below the dew point - especially on warm, moist...
