Howard, is your mustang friends brakes boosted? I dont know if i should stick with the 4.12^2 calipers and see if they work with my current rears, or i should just scrap everything and start over with a 4.8^2 caliper in the front and get a new larger rear. I'd rather not have to get new rear...

Howard, My ducts are as to the center of the rotor as I can get them. I think 80% of the hole is in the center area. They are working well so far, when these burn up I'll redo out of aluminum. Whats your friends overall f/r weight distribution? Mine is pretty horrible, around 58% front without...

Everything looks good as far as condition goes. These calipers are old but they were unused for years and dont have much time on them. I will continue to run the PF01's, in fact, im just going to move them from my old calipers to the new ones since they use the same pad. Fronts are ducted...

This is true in the pic. At the time the pic was taken, it was off and I was in the process of sizing a spacer to center it. The calipers are for 1.25" thick rotors and the rotors im using are actually 1.10", the new calipers i have on order are for the correct thickness.

This is a pic of the bracket thickness, but dont let this deceiving, its pretty heavy duty and the material its made of seems extremely hard and tough, it is not mild steel but some sort of stainless. I did not make this part, but have been in communication with the guy who did about my issue...

I still think Fran needs to do a front engine car. But you got to think outside the box. Something with the proportions of this:

My brakes are boosted. The car weighs in at 3300lbs wet. Calipers I'musing in the front are Superlite's. Am I calculating this wrong? I got your master cylinder at about 55% smaller area than mine and your front calipers having about 60% more area, for a total of 115% more area (and leverage)...

Terry, I also thought of putting in different pads. If you are running hawk pads, try PFC, you will be amazed in the difference. PFC makes compound 13 which is supposed to be substantially more aggressive. The price of the pads is around 200 bucks... or, i can get get new bigger piston calipers...

I just spoke with someone who has set up a lot of these cars, I will check for myself when I have the time, but he was saying the firewalls really flex a lot on these cars when you run a high effort setup like I have. He went even as far tie the master cylinder to his strut tower brace, and he...

If i adjust my proportioning valve more to the rear, i can lock those up with no problem. But I cannot lock the fronts when the tires are hot. This calculator look good. I'm not sure if i can get some of these values. I hate how PFC doesnt publish their friction values, I guess I will have to...

I have braided lines all around and its taking a ton of force to do what im doing, I really have to stand on it to get it to the floor. I recall air having a spongy and inconsistant feel, this is rock hard from the moment I get on the pedal and very consistent. I'm wondering whats going on...

I have put together a brake system for my old muscle car which is set up for track use. I down sized the pistons a bit on the calipers to help with feel, and the results are pretty good, but i have run into an issue, I think i might have made the pistons too small. It takes a lot of effort to...

c-clip rear axle and 4 piston calipers ?

From what I understand, floating rotor mounts only allow for radial runout and allow the rotor to expand freely with heat. They do not allow for this lateral runout.
