Teething problems with G50 & 2nd drive - suggestions please

Dave, is your slave cylinder adjustable? Mine needed about 1 1/2 turns to be perfect, but I have a zf and it may be different.

Teething problems with G50 & 2nd drive - suggestions please

I agree with Randy, that is definitely a clutch issue and probably air in the system.

America - Or Is It UK?

It's the whole damn "free" world and something must be done, now! Tony, I bought my dog (black alsatian) from a breeder in High Wycombe when we lived in London and sold my 1970 Mustang convertible to a guy who lived there. I guess I couldn't stay away!

    New Roaring Forties Opinion

Just a question from my own ignorance, but why call it the new Roaring Forties if the name RF has such a bad reputation? Don't you think you will be fighting that reputation forever regardless of the great people now involved?

Initial Setup of RCR + 2 Suspension

Just prior to installing the metal brackets that make up the rear upper shock mount: Here you can see the rear rod that should be moved up (bolt should come through from the bottom) and the spacer installed: Sorry I don't have any at hand that show more detail. Like I said, if no...

Initial Setup of RCR + 2 Suspension

Here are a few more (I made aluminium spacers for several locations, not sure if you will have to do this or not): This is the one I moved to the top and where the hole is made a spacer. I also made a spacer for the upper bolt in the reinforcing tab for the lower control arm that you...

Initial Setup of RCR + 2 Suspension

I have the +2 on my RCR. Here are a few to get you started, but I don't have any really close up. I can take some more close ups this weekend if nothing else shows up: Front: Rear: Note: I've since moved the rod that supports the rear clip to the top of the metal tab as I was...

    Holley Problems

I'm with Tom. Is this the dichromate finish peeling or is it a chrome carb? I have two Holley 4150 HP carbs on my GT40 that are currently working very well. Am I looking at a future problem?

    Toms RCR 40 Trackracer

Tom, that was my plan, semi-gloss black with the panels and wheels powdercoated black. It will be stunning! Finishing the body filler, priming it, and then letting it sit for 6 months is a great plan. Solvent outgassing will be complete and you will know if there are any voids or issues. I...

    Toms RCR 40 Trackracer

Tom, I hope you go with those colors! That was exactly how I was planning on painting mine and then went back to my original plan at the last minute. I love my paint, but that scheme will look really sharp. By the way, how will you finish the aluminum panels? They could introduce a fourth...

    Front tyre clearance

Mine rubbed slightly at full lock, but once I moved the rocker panels all the way back and moved all the lower control arm shims to the back, there was plenty of clearance.

    Chuck and Ryan's RCR Build

I opened all three of mine and glassed in ductwork for the two smaller ones. At some point I may run them into the car for ventilation, but to Jonathan's point, that is a B list item.

    Lift or no lift?

Thanks Mike, I never knew the difference! My father in law bought it used for $100 5 years ago when I ordered my FFR coupe. The guy who owned it said it didn't work right. We took a look at it an in about 5 seconds figured out that he didn't have the little jack screws adjusted at all...
