    Lift or no lift?

I used a scissors style lift for both the daytona coupe and RCR40 build. I found it incredibly helpful in all aspect of the build. Which ever one isn't as important as having one!

    No SL C Components

Crash, Don't give up, yet. I've built 6 kit cars from six different manufacturers, the latest being my RCR40. I've never used all the parts, often swapping or selling outright to others. Much of this before the Internet made it so easy. I found this to be part of the fun. As an example, I...

    George Carlin Dead... :*(

Everyone is talking about him and my 16 year old daughter asks who he is. We just watched 2 hours of Youtube Carlin videos and it was hilarious! Brought back old memories and she was laughing so hard she was crying. RIP, George.

Speed channel 8:00AM PST HOT ROD TV building a replica of a GT40

It wasn't that great. A Superformance MkII and all they really did was install the engine. More an advertisement for Superformance I thought.

    Starter Not Engaging

Yes, it's a ZF and I got everything from Dennis at Pantera Performance (thanks Ron!). Including my flywheel, pressure plate, clutch, TOB, clutch slave, and engine plate.

    Starter Not Engaging

Bill, This is a 164 tooth flywheel with the motor plate installed. You need the motor plate anyway, so you should take it apart. I used a clockable starter, but even in the best position, it is still tight. Worrks well though!

    Ross' New car has arrived

Great looking Pantera, Ross! After the ordeal, you must be relieved. At least you have a good story to go along with a great car. Enjoy!

    Temporary spray booth

Oops, pictures were blocked at work: Blowers found at school: Filters in window, floor wet down, compressor in other room, and ready to paint: View from the outside: Let the painting begin:

    Temporary spray booth

When I painted my coupe in the garage, we installed a furnace air filter in the window and sealed squirrel cage fans under the garage door. I cleaned all the dust and spider webs out and wet the floor down just before spraying. A friend found these blowers in a dumpster (skip for my UK...

    gt40 wanted, but which one

Accuracy to original + MK1 + 427 does not compute! Anyway, it is your car, so build it or have it built the way you want.

Dean, that's great! What an experience and one I would never forget. Thanks for sharing the story and pictures.

    Keith's RCR GT40 Mk I Build

Keith, Congratulations and nice job on the headers! I think Dean Lampe polished his chassis, so it is not out of the realm of the possible. Just takes a lot of work! Keep posting pictures as they tell a great story. Ricky, my 15" wheels touched with the panels set on the car as delivered...

    New build

I saw it in person at Carlisle and it is truly amazing! I thought there was a waiting list or backlog on the car. Is it true you can get it in 16 weeks?! Here are a couple more pics:

    Mark Reid RCR-40 Build

I got my idle down to a sweet 1000 rpm! I plugged the holes with rivets and then bonded them to ensure they won't come out. I sounds wonderful, but I am running a little rich at idle. I didn't have time to do any tuning or set the timing where I want it, but will this week. Ron and I also...

    Webers or injection?

Dean, I'll give you my opinion. I was running Wayne's Very Cool Parts EFI stacks on a 392 Ford crate engine (430 HP advertised) in my coupe. It is a speed density system that has a common vacuum plenum in the manifold that feeds the sensor in the computer. The ECU was a Redline 882 system...
