Does the Superlite Coupe Have a Full Roll Cage?

You know, Maui to Harrisburg (Carlisle) is probably only a 12 hour trip! You could see one in person with a 700HP LS7 if you drop by Carlisle this weekend. 700HP, can you imagine?!

    Mark Reid RCR-40 Build

Oh no! I started my GT40 engine today for the first time and after running for about 2 minutes, realized in horror that the oil pressure gauge was sitting at 0! I was tired and really wanted to wait after 10 hours of working on the car, but my son was really anxious and worked really hard...

    bizarre PM

Very funny, Neal! And when he turns on his computer monitor, he becomes enlightened! This spam has hit several forums and only seems to go to members with low post counts. I guess he is trying to get to you before you become jaded by forum opinion.:devilish:

    Remote Location Oil Filter

Bill, I mounted mine about 6 inches behind the left motor mount. It is easy to get to and you can reach the back of the bolts for nuts through the lower trailing link access hole.

At about 4 minutes into this video, there is a good shot of how the decal sits on the snorkle: YouTube - Miller Motorsports Park Museum Tour- Garage419

    Time zones

If you have friends overseas and you want to talk regularly, get them either Skype or Vonage. We had Vonage when we lived in London and for $24/month could call any where in the U.S. and every other Vonage number. But that's not the biggest advantage. We took it with us when we travelled and...

Well, I wasn't going to tell anyone......

Dean, I am so sorry to hear that! It is also amazing that at 150 mph, there is enough of it left to be completely repaired. Glad to hear you are moving on and will have it back soon. Damn!

    Mark Reid RCR-40 Build

This one is for you, Dean! I couldn't stand it any more, the dust on the chassis was freaking me out. While Ron and I were working, Mike cleaned the chassis: And we popped the nose on to check it out: __________________

Stripes are painted The orange is a three stage paint. Bright white was put down first. It serves both as the base for the Lambo orange and as the white pin stripe. Here the orange is down and the white strip is masked on the nose. I forgot the camera and Mike took these with my cell phone...

    Revisit Plexi fasteners

I used brass wood inserts from mcmaster.com with a wide head ss screw: They are threaded and can be screwed into the fiberglass. I bonded them in with epoxy, sanded the heads off flush with the body, and when I finished the panel prior to paint they only show a very small threaded hole:

Dean, I cringe every time I see it like that. My 14 year old son, Mike is coming with me on Saturday to give it a good cleaning. I told him it would take several hours and he didn't believe me. Then I showed him a picture and he estimated all day!

    Best kit?

If you mean RCR, Fran is English, but living in the U.S. He is very reputable and a stand up guy. You won't go wrong and while I was intially nervous about sending a big chunk of money and praying for a car, I was more than satisfied with the product. There were also others on this forum whom...

    Mark Reid RCR-40 Build

Yes, sometimes if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself! I came to do some work on the chassis and that slave driver put me to work wet sanding! We got it all done, but I have no finger prints left or feeling in the tips of my fingers. Hey, a small sacrifice for the team!

Paint sample! Here are the colors I am painting the car. Sorry for the picture, it was taken at night. You really have to see these colors in the sun to appreciate the pop: On the left side of the panel, you see our original thought which was to edge the orange with white. After...
