Borla 8 stack efi fuel problem

I think Julian may have hit it, but to add detail, if you have two tanks 75% full, yet the draw from them is between a common line between the tanks, it is theoretically drawing from both by equal amounts, and returning to only one tank. After continuous running of the pumps, that one tank will...

    LSA SLC Build Log

Bob, What is the jack (lift) product you are using to raise the car?

    Eight Stack Air Filters

Thanks Brian. That's what I currently run, so that's good to know (without knowing what the screen-only diameter is you are using).

    Balance Bar

Adding, with ultra-high performance tires, my bias with identical corners for my car is almost a perfect balance. Put some R7s on the wheels instead, allows a higher deceleration, and consequently a further forward shift in needed bias at the front. My calcs of using the same setup for all four...

    Balance Bar

Okay, my assumption was correct in that "typically the front master cylinder is usually smaller than the rear, and feeds larger front calipers..." explains why they recommend the longer 1/4" pushrod length for the front. Being the optimal setup (according to a calculator I used when building...

    Balance Bar

As a side note, I haven't got many miles on my project, yet I had to change out both Tilton MCs this year due to seals going bad (very slight leaking, but enough to soften the pedal). I'm concerned that with perhaps no more than 5,000 miles in the years I've had this car, that I'm dealing with...

    Balance Bar

Mine are equal length on the pushrods, and the bias maybe is a turn or so off of center. I guess I need to look at Tilton's video. I don't understand the purpose unless the assumption is that there is more piston stroke on the front, so a full pressure, the front started "behind" the rear, at...

    SVO heads

I had the J302 heads when they first came out, which was the first aluminum head offered by Ford (Alan Root designed). Loved the weight, but power didn't seem any different against a well-prepped iron factory head. I'm with Howard though in that later on, I installed some AFR 205s, and they...

    What’s this????

Simon, I'd say you've stumped the chump(s) on this one. Never seen anything like it.

Spring setup question (longer or shorter spring needed?)

Mike, Please help me understand this fix. If Brian goes to a 1" longer spring with the same rate, 1) the car would sit higher if the perch was not adjusted down by the same 1"...problem still exists because all that was done was move the spring down the same amount that the spring was...

Purging air from remote oil filter and cooler

Thanks Howard. I would say "Bingo" with this post. I think this is being way overthought. As a side note, I ran (idled with a blip or two) my motor twice (no haters need to comment please, as I am embarrassed to the end), for at least 2 or more minutes each time, without any oil being pumped...

Purging air from remote oil filter and cooler

My understanding is that this is a practice for a newly built motor that has had no oil run through the engine. I do this after any rebuild. Once the run-through is complete, the bearings and system have enough oil to not worry about anything for the next startup. An oil change does not affect...

Right hand drive in the USA

I've not noticed any comments regarding the "merge left" that us typical in the US. With the visibility issues, I was quite concerned about these two put together in a RH drive car with challenging visibility in and out.

    Eight Stack Air Filters

I was lucky enough to run across these K&N filters on Ebay a while back. Probably one of the best options for filtration and airflow.

    Interesting block strength video

I believe that (concrete filling) was more for drag racing in that the short runs didn't challenge the cooling as much.

    Scratch build MK IV

Have you considered an EPAS system? I eventually went that way with mine (both shoulders have been worked on), and it was soooo much simpler than the hydraulic systems. Even some very simple OEM set-ups, using the default "limp" mode are excellent in feedback and assist. Once I got away from all...

    Active Power Cars GT40 Build...

I used SS for my coolant cockpit tubes, and then jet-hotted them to further reduce radiated heat into the cabin. Even then it required PSA insulation on the inner lining of the cover over the tubes to keep heat tolerable in the cockpit.

    Interesting block strength video

Takes a while to get through some simple concepts, but well worth watching. Always believed in girdles. Thanks for the posting.
