    John's RCR build

Oh yeah, ask my wife about my style it would like result in laughter. I do like stainless steel and nice bolts, pan head plated belong no where on a race car, especially of one coming out as nice as yours.

    Master Shut Off Switch

David that is exactly what I'm thinking, simple, and dual purpose (inside, outside). Ross, I think think that I am wiring up the same way. That is how my mustang and cobra are set up. 'G' Spot, well isn't that the aluminum motor in the back of my car  I'm not too keen on using relays...

    Master Shut Off Switch

No apologies for the drift any Jac-SMACK is worth it! I was looking at the electronic type of master switched, but they are too costly and when all said and done not as good as a solid mechanical one (IMO). Since the battery is up front, closer to the battery is a better bet for me. Anyone...

    Master Shut Off Switch

I have a similar concept right now except for the main power to the starter. The rest of the power to all other parts of the car are run via a master relay and that control is on the dash. So semi' master switch if you will but will kill anything except the starter main power to the starter...

    Master Shut Off Switch

This has come up before, but it's quite here today so I'll bring it up again ;-) Who has shots of master power switches on their 40's? I was looking at doing a remote OFF (Off only from outside) like some of the newer cars do with a cable pull. Anyone rig one of them up? I was almost thing...

    In Car Battery

Yes, the Odyssey is an AGM type batter, and should be fine. I did find some SCCA stuff on the web, and it seems for some classes of cars not ok for passenger compartment, but for more preped cars, just fine. I don't think it is a safety thing, just class based. Bulkhead, too much work! But I...

    In Car Battery

Why not ;) Well, maybe a couple of reasons, one is the normal mounting in the rear of the car has a dry sump tank, the other side is going to be used for pumps and other stuff. So it would be in the front section behind the radiator or in the foot well of the passenger. Plenty of room. The one...

    In Car Battery

Question for the Safety folks. I'm going to end up stuffing a Odyssey PC1200 in the passenger footwell of my RCR. I have looked at a couple of battery boxes, and it ends up be basically the open billet type and sealed (well I'll call it semi sealed). Given that the box is not that thick and...

    Spark Plug Boots

Check out summit / jegs. Taylor, DEI, Accel, and others have a lot of options for boots, and in different color if that's your thing. I Run Taylor 409' 10.4mm with the 135deg boot (good for SBF) without any boots on the race car (65 mustang) and have no had a problem in not using them. Sandy

    John's RCR build

The build manual I have is really old, didn't have that stuff in it. I'll have to get the link to the update from Mr. Hall ;-) Sandy

    John's RCR build

I guess I will have to do some more work. That is way slick. I hope not much is different on the suspension end. My bar picks up the lower arm from the bottom as I recall, I'm going to have to bug Fran now ;-) Sandy

    Brake reservoir size

John - The dimensions are as follows: Length across all 3 reservoirs are 7" The Mounting flange will extend .5" from each side behind the tanks, and is welded across the back of all with with a plate. The Height as measured from the top of the filler caps to the bottom of the reservoirs are...
