Who is going to Monterey Historics 2008?

I will be in attendance, no cars just poking around.

    John's RCR build

Very interesting. I think I will have more work to do. I was thinking the other day, how about right through the inside of the car? Seems that is the better way to go. What I have might be fine, but just looks like it is going to get caught up on something. I'll get on the dimesions for the CNC...

    Brake reservoir size

I can, might be this weekend. Hit me up with a message if I forget. One thing I hate about CNC Inc. is they don't have nice engineering plans like Tilton. If you look at my build thread I think you can get a very general idea on the size. I'll get more details for ya' in anycase. Sandy

    John's RCR build

Can you show a few more pics of the sway bar, Is that the Front bar your talking about? I was looking at the one on my car an not all that happy with it, It is very low to the ground as it's on the underside of the car and with the small diameter front tires the brackets and bushings will...

    Brake reservoir size

John - It is a sickness! The do look in place in the RCR tub, just rig up the low level lights and your good to go. You might also check with them (CNC)they may have other lids for the masters that might make fabrication of something easier too. Sandy

    Sandy's RCR40 Gulf Chassis #11

As they say 'That was easy'. And now I had to get back under the dash and start figuring out where to run the electrical. Right now I am using 3 - AMP Series 3 CPC connectors for all the wires from the dash. Each has a different Pin configuration as well. The dash houses ALL wiring so no...

    Sandy's RCR40 Gulf Chassis #11

Started back working on the RCR40. I started back with some unfinished work with the front cooling system. I picked up a small tubing flanger for the cooling hoses. Let me spend some money and do something easy. So fixed up the pipes for the front. Will made a spare. Will be using this for the...

Sequential 6 speed gearbox for Cleveland Block

One thing to watch out for is the size of the case. I don't know how much room (rear) the pantera has from memory, but I don't think much. The Sand buggy boxes are LONG and often will not fit in a 40, not sure if they can be squeezed into a Pantera. The Helwand is pretty short as I recall. Other...

    Brake reservoir size

I often wonder how my kids are going to college as they are now 5 and 13 and I still have a car problem ;) I would have bought the 900 pedals, but what ultimatly killed them for me was the cost of the masters. Just had to draw the line somewhere... The billet stuff they make is nice, but...

    Brake reservoir size

If you can afford the billet tilton's you should get the matching resevior, it is really nice . I have a set of the steel tiltons pedals, but decided that was good enough for the likes of me ;-) I forget all the crazy rules that have to be followed for approval which seems like a...

Sequential 6 speed gearbox for Cleveland Block

When I was looking at parts for my car I was looking at the Hewland NLT, as I recall available in 6 speed and sequential. It was pretty compact as well. You will have to do your own bell housing, but that should not be a huge deal as someone said "if you can afford the gear box, you can afford...

    Brake reservoir size

I used some nice ones from CNC (look at somewhat stale my build thread) Here is the link. I don't know if they can be used with a level sensor, but they fit nicely in the RCR. Sandy

    How cut braided fuel hoses

Yes, -3 and -4 teflon and -4 regular are a pain. The larger lines are easier to work with and seem more tollerant of the 'bad' cut ;-) Sandy

    How cut braided fuel hoses

That was one of the nice things the cutters do well is they sorta' crimp the ends when cut so it slips into the fitting nicely. I have never tried the hose clamp, but will do so as the cutter are only good to about -10 lines and sometimes these cool tricks make it easy! Good tip!! Sandy
