Can someone please confirm that I have to modify the rear subframe in order to fit it over/around the Quaife gearbox? I believe I have to cut the top, horizontal crossbar away between the two rails. See pic.
I have measured the distance between the top and bottom crossbars and they are...
Fred, if you decide to build your own wires, I highly recommend purchasing a crimping tool. I've built wires with and without a tool and wish I had always had the crimping tool.

Dave,
Rick indicated he didn't see the spacers in the first photo. If I can find them, I'll remove them. I have 2 full turns, lock to lock. Is that normal?
Julian,
I have NOT checked ride height, camber/caster, etc. Car is up on jacks, full droop - as you suggest. Will finish engine install and let the car down before proceeding.
Thanks all! What a problem solving experience, but rewarding!
Randy,
I started to follow your instructions above. Centered the rack between turn locks. Locked steering shaft with pliers. Disconnected tie rod ends and moved wheels near zero toe. Look at the results. The rod ends are very uneven.
Rick,
Is the steering limiter the whitish thing in...
Richard and Gus, thank you for your efforts. I finally figured it out with some help from Gates flexible hoses.
Richard, I like the idea of closing out the heat. Thank you for the tips!

We're connecting the radiator hoses between the SPF cooling system lines and the Roush engine. I think we have a good feel for how it's plumbed, but I sure would appreciate some pics and/or confirmation.
I'll describe what I understand:
1. Thermostat neck connects to a section of rubber...
Thanks all. I found the fitting on Amazon. "Anderson Metals Brass Tube Fitting, Connector, 3/16" Compression x 1/4" Male Pipe". This mates the nylon tubing to the block perfectly, with no additional adapters.
I'm still considering conversion over to copper before the first engine start.

I'm ready to connect the Smiths Oil Pressure Gauge to the Roush engine. I need a fitting from the 0.19" OD nylon tubing to what I think is 1/4" NPT on the Roush oil port, near the fuel pump at front. I'm assuming it's one of those compression fittings with the mini brass sleeve and nut...
Richard,
I didn't have to add holes. I can bolt/unbolt the Quaife as is. We just mated it to the bellhousing the other night. I'm using the Quicktime bellhousing, purchased from Olthoff.
Richard,
The lowest bolt hole / tab on the Quaife was going to interfere with the lower subframe on the chassis. I took a grinder and cutting wheel to it and created clearance, being careful not to get into the face that sits just inside the bellhousing. See before and after pics.
It mates...
