    Steering column controls.

You haven't asked the right person; I have a few of the Lucas ones that protrude from they dash. They operate the indicators, main/dipped beam/headlamp flash as well as the horn. Regards, Graham.

    Original Mk1 radiator dimensions

When I last purchased one from Serck, the mounts were at the wrong angle so it had to be returned and rebuilt. Not a problem in the UK but if you are overseas it could be a major issue so I would double-check when ordering. They work from a radiator that they thought was original but wasn't...

    Courtesy lamp - OEM supply?

As were most cars in those days. Most manufacturers used proprietary electrics. Regards, Graham.

Rear sway bar original MK1 road cars

Sorry Ryan, that's not correct: there's no scope for that sort of adjustment and it the change would be so small as to be negligible. Regards, Graham.

Rear sway bar original MK1 road cars

Hi Doc, Sort of. With the Gulf cars they took the original, non-adjustable anti-roll bars and welded on metal strips similar to the above. MkIIs were different again but I know David was asking about the MkI. Regards, Graham.

Rear sway bar original MK1 road cars

Hi David, They weren't adjustable. From memory, I think the road car ones were 9/16" and the race cars possibly 5/8". I have 3 originals one of which is 3/4", I'd have to check the diameter of the others. Regards, Graham.

    Replica body accuracy

Hi Wolfgang, Most of the replicas have bodywork that is significantly different to the original body shape. Some are actually superior to the originals. Try and study pictures of the originals and compare them with some of the replicas, the differences will soon become apparent. This is not in...

Chassis drawings book in the works...

Hi all, If you're expecting to be able to build a GT40 from the contents of this book then you will be disappointed. It does cover the chassis but also covers the MkIV chassis and many components including engines and gearboxes. It is a beautiful book but it's not a workshop manual. It will be...

    Pipes Passing Through Bulkheads

Rubber grommets are available in many sizes depending on the size of the pipe. One question though: why is the pipe moving? Regards, Graham.

    Bulkhead window frame GT40

The original was made from one piece of sheet steel; it's do-able but very difficult. I did manage it but with imperfections! The easiest way is to fold a length to give an 'L' section then use a shrinker to bend it to shape and butt weld the ends together. Regards, Graham.
