Hi,
1013 was reunited with its original reg. number OVX 355D when Bryan Wingfield last restored it in the late 1990's. I think that it is now in Belgium.

Hi Kim,
When I first built my car I used a Porsche starter. I had some new lugs welded onto the starter mounting plate which allowed me to rotate the starter and have the solenoid out of the way. It wasn't a massive job.

I think that you can do away with the bell-crank and the short connecting rod that goes to the first carb, fabricate a new cable bracket so that the cable pulls the lever of the first carb and then everything should work using the existing linkages.

As Stephen says it was built by Bryan Wingfield in the 1980s using mostly original parts although based on a Tennant Panels chassis. It featured recently in Motor Racing magazine, I think it was Motor Racing.

Hi Tom,
They are Lucas units and are still readily available. If you use these on the road in the UK, I think you would need to fit additional reflectors.
Try Stafford Vehicle Components, Europa or Holden.
I have some Fiat 850 ones if you need those.

Hi Nick,
I've been looking for decent door seals but there isn't much choice. It's a common misconception that COH Baines supplied the original door seals but they didn't, they were made by a now defunct German company.
Lotus Elan owners suffer from the same lack of seals.
