    Still, even with a conversion to 110deg sweep, its not enough to cover the windshield as 130deg or better will be needed to pass the registration process - atleast in the UK...

    The nuts/spinners needs alittle play in them on the threads. Otherwise with the heatcycles they get very stuck on the threads… alu v steel.

    I have my temperature valve in my remote filter adapter on the block, and welded on AN#10 bungs to the plate. So its not a problem controling oil temp.

    Billet based will have to be bespoke milled and tapped /drilled. Or just weld #10 bungs on original bases and weld up the other holes. Plentiful of these bases on ebay. Clean ally well as its rubbish to tig weld.

    I have 4 or 5 of these if you need a pattern drawn up. Cessna, Pipers… continental engines used various oilcoolers like these. Search for aero oilcoolers cessna, or harrison continental.

    None of these bodies are eaqual length left/right side. They mount slightly askew on the chassis.

    I think it depends what you put it into. Mk1 would not be possible with height restrictions. Mk2 if going into a monocoque for sure yes, but for a replica it all depends on if you see it viable to put a $60k+ engine into a replica which will not have any increase in value with a $60k or $6k...
