    Dusty's SLC Build

I’m starting to get Oil plumbing done. I have nothing but good things to say about this Goodridge G-Line XF 910 hose. Although it takes some muscle to get the fittings on they go on nice with I clean finished. No fancy tools needed. I have started to plumb this pair of Oil coolers with a plan...

there is no metal on metal. the bolt is also surrounded by poly bushing. the poly bushings go through the mount and sandwich both sides of the mount. the tank also rests on the 1/4" strips of silicone you think it will crack something? should I add a strap over the tank also?

This car is always on the back of my mind but so many family things to do first. But I’ve got some more work done. I purchased this fine car from Earl. I really like the way that he set up the fuel tank mounts. The tank mounts solidly via four attachment points with poly mounts at each of the 4...

How does superlite's SL-C handle in the winter?

just run the snow tires year round. I had snow tires on my ford maverick in High school. in the warm months you can peel out over man holes and spew sparks from your tires. And ya the government will always get theirs. electric cars wont be cheap in the future. the only reason tesla turns a...

    Bob's EV SLC Build Log

amazing work chromoly 28 spline shafts are no wimps. I bet they wont be the weak link. if you get a set made in 300m steel that would be even stronger. I beat 30 spline 300m hard in off road racing. i would be more worried about the stock tesla CV cups coming out of the motors. But if they...

the close out panel has been difficult issue for me. we want a shield that restricts heat and sound without adding too much weight. It must hold back fire. I would like a shield that is easily removable so it can be cleaned and serviced. When i look at my newer diesel truck i note that the...

Made some bracket extensions for the transmission mounts as seen in the picture. I’m trying to put the I am joy attachments in double shear. This is just a quarter inch aluminum. And it was fun to make them with the bandsaw but they just don’t seem strong enough. I’ll probably need to make new...

i have a thermo housing for the transaxle that is temp controlled but im using a manual controlled oil cooler thermostat as shown in my thread. I suspect that most of the time i will leave it closed. ill monitor temps and make the decision based on the temps.
