    Resignation as UK CAV distributor

Dear all, I have taken the difficult decision to resign as the UK distributor of the CAV. I know that the CAV will continue to be manufactured under different auspices and I would like to wish those involved in the project all the very best. I have of course ensured that none of my customers...

    Track Times - A Thought

I think Franks issue with the centre shift is more due to the long throw of the lever (with its cable) than the shorter right hand rod linkeage he is used to. Not that I would dare disagree with you Frank! Rick

    UK crate engines.......

Hi Malcom, There is a guy in UK doing 302'S including ancils for around £3-3.5k. Apparently they are pushing out about 330 - 340 hp. You can get things cheaper in the States, which is OK until something goes wrong. I would rather pay a few quid extra over here for the peace of mind. At least...

    GT40s.com Forum - Potential Changes

Ron, I would have no objection in principle to paying something towards this forum. It is well managed and is a huge resource for both customer and manufacturer. One option that you may wish to consider is to charge a small flat fee (or a small precentage) to people (either manufacturers or...

    Porn stars!

Hi y'all, You won't believe this one! I have just been asked if I will allow one of the UK CAV's to be used as the backdrop to a porn film. Do you think this will diminish the perceived value of my cars or add to it? Should I take my Box-Brownie along? Will I be allowed to publish some...

    IDA's

Re: IDA\'s Hi Ian, Thanks for the info. I would love to hear about your set up when it is sorted. I would like to offer them as an option on my cars. They provide a fantastic sight in the rear view mirror, quite apart from anything else! Rick

    IDA's

IDA\'s I met a guy from Weber at a car show late last year and he informed me that they were remanufacturing IDA's. He reckoned that he could supply a system for a 302 including manifold and linkages for less than £2500 inc VAT. I have since heard that they are not as good (?) as the...

    CAV In provisional Liquidation

Thanks Chris - Good to talk to you this morning. I am sure you will find that no customer anywhere has found themselves in a difficult position due to this. I agree with frknfast's comments that this will resolve itself very shortly and the CAV distributors will be supplying cars as normal...

Hi Matthew, There was a company displaying at Exeter Kit Car Show (cant remember the name, but it would be easy to find out) that were selling 350hp 302's apparently including ancils for £3.5k. Rick
