Audi R8 transaxle dimensions and questions.

Just realized that the L140 requires the engine to be offset to one side. Super freaking ugly. Does anybody know how much this offset is with a typical LS engine? Is it noticable?

Audi R8 transaxle dimensions and questions.

If anybody can help, I am also looking for accurate CAD. I have a rough comparison: LS+Graziano and W12+G86.20. Overall, the W12+G86.20 is slightly more compact (main driver in my project + 12 cylinder sound). The Graziano has the output wheel shafts roughly 35mm above the crank centerline, the...

Graziano L140 drawings and bell housing patterns

Hi There, I am looking for an exact CAD file of the external surfaces of the Graziano L140 or at least a drawing of the bell housing pattern. I do have that 3D-scanned file from GrabCAD but would appreciate accurate dimensions. Here an overview between the Porsche G86.20 and the L140. Can...

    QBE62G Transaxle

Is there a torque rating on this gearbox? What is the approximate cost in 2024? Is there a rough external faces CAD model so that somebody can plan and integrate in the computer before committing to a purchase? Thanks

G96/G86 - Any Shared Audi Components?

Does anyone have any more information here? What is the distance between the input and output shaft of these gearboxes? That is a good indicator to the torque capability, next to the gear widths. Where can you find G86/G96/G97 parts? Who made the G86/G96/G97 and who made the VW/Audi gearboxes?

***SOLD*** Keith’s RCR GT40 Mk1B for sale ***SOLD***

Never been registered? When importing a car to Europe, the only way to get it on the road is to have the previous registration documents. How difficult is it to get registered?

VW W12 to Porsche G86.20 transaxle

Renegade Hybrids uses these G86.20 gearboxes - they claim "the stock (Boxter S G86.20) 6-speed transaxle will handle the LS V-8 torque up to 500HP with minimal abuse" https://www.renegadehybrids.com/boxls.html

Help me identify this chassis please! KVA? Countach?

For the rear, I was also thinking C4 - similar to this Countach scratch build But I wonder how "bad" the KVA chassis really is. Just because thinks look better does not mean they are better.

Help me identify this chassis please! KVA? Countach?

Front suspension: Indeed somewhat similar to this Ford Cortina unit My idea was to fabricate an early C4 front suspension into the car

VW W12 to Porsche G86.20 transaxle

Short update - talked to Chris and Clutch Industries in Australia. Chris will make me a flywheel and an adapter plate. We will use the UniClutch 8" track for this. Drawings made and Chris is starting the machining. Looking forward to it all!

Help me identify this chassis please! KVA? Countach?

Is there any more information on that front suspension unit? What car is that from? It seems removable completely.

    SLC technical questions

Thanks for the reply. This will be quite challenging - and result in probably a completely custom made car that has nothing to do with the SLC. One question: do you have a mass overview of your car? Some baseline that I could attack and actually ask "what would you need to do to get half the...

    SLC technical questions

Hi there, I have been playing with the thought of buying an SLC superlight for a long time. Before I go into the project, I would like to get a few more technical details, if anyone here has some answers, i would greatly appreciate it. 1) Aluminium frame rear: what size are these? They appear...

    KVA Project

I just read through this topic - awesome and very well done. I have a similar project - and I would like to upgrade the suspension as much as "feasible" - can you guys throw some thoughts my way here? https://www.gt40s.com/threads/help-me-identify-this-chassis-please-kva-countach.57916/

Help me identify this chassis please! KVA? Countach?

Hi there! I recently came across this chassis - it is a Countach replica - but the chassis seems to be a KVA GT40. I am new to KVA GT40 and I would like to have more information on it in general. Are there drawings of that chassis somewhere? In the manual it reads that the toe and chamber can...

    GT40 vs the Competition

[A GT40 replica with a Granada suspension is a million times better than no replica (my situation) - I hope I am not offending anyone here with some of these statements. Second, the Granada suspension is good enough for 99% of the use cases. I have a C4 donor car that I got cheap and therefore I...

    GT40 vs the Competition

The height of the upright and the knuckle is for sure one indicator for the stiffness and hence, also the performance of the suspension. The Granada uprights are a little on the small side. Here a comparison between Ford Granada, C4 and C5/6 Corvette: I would argue that the stiffness is...
