Nice build. I see you are running AC. Jag XJ's used to have fuel cooler mounted to the return line from the evaporator to chill the fuel for return to the tanks. Now I do not know if anyone makes something like this or you could find one on ebay or XJ6 scrappers.
I have never heard of vapor lock in a fuel injected engine though not to say it can't happen. It sounds more like trash in the fuel tank blocking up the pick up. Once you stop it settles back down and you can restart. Now I experienced this on a mechanical fuel injected 280SL The fuel...
A little shaping with a hammer and old fire bottle to get the bottom to curve around.. I should have shaped the bottom of the sides first then rolled the upper edge around.
Had my heat shield water jet cut today. Now to form and fit before ceramic coating. Been a while since I have been able to do anything. Putting in a mini split AC system in the house before the old central air quits, seems to be a priority!
That is surprising that 20 min at 4k would do that on a motorsport block. Once you tear down let us know the final diagnosis. I am always curious about failures and how to prevent.
So the brown Marchal frame fits behind? Then you break the bottom 90 over to meet the bottom of the fiberglass in front of the light?
Appreciate the additional info as I just got my frames from France and will be ready to trial mount my lights.
Correct what you do not see is the capillary bulb going to your evaporator from this switch. I am using a trinary switch to turn on the fans when pressure gets high so the fan only runs when needed. Once road speed is up you should have enough flow that a fan is not needed.
