IOPort Video Camera Mount : FS

I have removed the IOPort Racing Video camera mount from my Mustang as I have made my own. For those that run a camcorder this is a good mount, not so good for bullet (Lipstick) cams as the solid mount is much better, I guess you could remove the isolator but easier just to make your own mount...

    High Performance Starters

I think Ron said that it does crank fine, just won't kick off (Is that right?) The ignition retard is built in to most of the later Digital MSD's as I recall. I run it on my mustang and it does seem to let the motor spin nice with the small battery in the car, but it does not start easy. I have...

    High Performance Starters

Ron - What do the plugs look like? I would think that they might show something. Not much basis for my guess, but smells like carbs. The starting fluid when hot should fire up a corpse unless something is really out of whack, like saturated plugs. It seems you have created an audience now...

    High Performance Starters

Hey Ron - Very interesting thread Ron. I hate to suggest this, but have you hit the cabs with, gulp, some ether (Quickstart) to rule out fuel system issues. I think Jac Mac mentioned the choke but not sure I caught the outcome. One other issue is what do the plugs look like after you shut it...

    4 post lift

Ron - I have one of the AC lifts from Brad (ACP-7000) with 220 volt motor. Got it a few years back, and had them install it since they were somewhat local. He was going to do a demo unit that was for a trade show, but he ended up giving it up at the show, so he did a good price for the lift...

Speed Ventures Jan 26, 2008 Willow Springs

Tires were ice cold but got hot fast ;). Oil was warmed up as I did a drive to the other parts of the course before jumping onto the track. The rear tires heat up quickly... One thing for sure in looking at the video, the mount is much better then the old one, I have to thank Ron for that since...

    I Think I'm Screwed - Again!!!

Man Bill you must be a lucky guy getting Screwed all the time ;-) Check McMaster they will have something or something close that you can have a local machine shop turn down or bore. OR you can do an eMachine shop and have one made (will take a while) to your own specs. Don't let this stop...

Speed Ventures Jan 26, 2008 Willow Springs

Well, another video not of a running GT40 ;) Here is a few laps at Willow Spring Raceway, the big track. This is the 65' mustang with a 331, mufflers, Kumho Victoracer's, bad shifting, and finally what seems like some kind of oil pump failure (shaft, pump, ???). It was raining all week, and I...

Inexpensive solid state in Car Video System

Dave - They are very good. Get a (a couple) good Compact Falsh card and definitly wire it up to your car's electrical as internal batteries are a pain and don't really last that long. You can use an extenal pack too, they are not that hard to make. Definitly go up to the chase cam forums...

    Video Posting

Pete is was the Cobra Club Event and it was passing only on the 2 straights. So it was a friendly event for most. Lots of fun for me since I'm not so skilled as the more competitive racers but still get it around the course. In reality it is a very easy car to drive, you can get it to the edge...

    Video Posting

Likely bad driving style ;), but the car has a 1965 era steering box (no r&p) and with the bigger tires and the quick ratio steering arm and idler it is a hand full to keep good leverage with your all twisted up, but maybe my bad style (Which I'm not really aware of until now) can be improved...
