I thought that you could run at higher RPM's with a flat tappet cam compared to a roller cam? I was told this has to do with the steepness of the ramp angle on a roller cam. Anyone know for sure? Steve

I have the Audi 016 5N box with 4.11 gearing on a 302 and I have been 135 MPH in fourth at 6000 RPM, I have not had a safe place to see what it will do in fifth but rest assured it's way over 150 MPH. I think there is something wrong, are you sure your final is 3.89? Steve

Bram, The 4.56 gearing is likely to make first gear unusable I think. My 5N box has the same first gear (as do they all) with a 4.11 ring & pinnion and I'm running 295 50 15's and first gear is almost useless. You should look for a box with the 3.98 ring & pinnion I think you will be much...
