Access to Ford v. Ferrari movie

FYI I saw no post like that. The angry face I saw came after ‘Miles shouldn’t have slowed down’ Tim.

Access to Ford v. Ferrari movie

If Neil is referring to me then - not much. It was just barely ok IMO, but a subject I am really glad they chose to make a movie about. The things I mentioned (and all the others I didn’t), AND the choice of focus, gave me a rash. Tim.

The in car cobra stuff reminded me of the Herbie movies. Tim.

Access to Ford v. Ferrari movie

Be prepared for the usual idiosyncratic American car movie cliches such as only using full throttle in a race when you are about to be passed, and slamming down a gear when supposedly flat out, as if to transition from cruising to racing - in a race... (That reminds me of their sound dubbing...

Thoughts on Keith Craft ‘Crate’ Engine

Block is alloy Ford Motorsport, I don’t remember the manifold and stacks sorry. I’ll go back through records tomorrow if I can find them - car was built a while ago now. Not speedmaster though. Tim.

Thoughts on Keith Craft ‘Crate’ Engine

    1) My 364 SBF is putting out well north of 500bhp through an Audi 6 speed, so far not a sign of an issue. Has coped fine with 6000rpm dump clutch 1st and 2nd gear starts. Maybe mine is special but I doubt it. 2) I am using the Speedmaster 8 stack on an LS1 I have in another car. Fit and finish...

    2019 Formula 1

Yeah it was a good race, but the 2021 rules seem about to push the whole thing into a control Formula, so overall the descent into oblivion continues. The teams are trying to make the argument that that’s the wrong way to go, but as usual the bureaucrats are set on painting everything beige...

    Keith

Drinking a beer to Keith today. Best wishes to his friends and family. I know a few of you on this forum were real life mates with Keith, I’m not sure who you all are but I know David and Ian are two - I’ll be thinking of you today. Tim.

    Keith

In my experience a funny, clever, kind, appreciative, humble man. He made me feel I had a friend even though we never met. I wish I had made it over and had that beer. Rest in peace mate. Tim.

    2019 Formula 1

Tremendous race in Austria! Verstappen has matured so much since I last wrote anything about him - magnificent drive. Another stewards enquiry sadly, we’ll see how that goes I guess. Tim.

Ha! Indeed :) Great race from Le Clerc. Such a shame things didn’t work out but I guess it might at least turn out to be character strengthening. Weird double failure for the Renaults. Tim.
