    Bleeding Brakes

Thanks for all the tips. I didn't bench bleed the master cylinders, but have up to now tried pressure bleeding from the reservoir, reverse pressure bleeding and vacuum bleeding from the calipers. The best results have been the latest ones, by pressure bleeding from the reservoir while doing...

    Bleeding Brakes

This may be a dumb question, but I'm having trouble bleeding the brakes. The car has the stock Tilton Series 600 pedal set that came with the kit. Using a pressure bleeder combined with the traditional pedal pumping and nipple valve cycling, we got the pedal rock hard (yaay!), but by the time...

FlowMaster DBX 6" mufflers Flowmaster Hushpower DBX Mufflers 13014310 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing The rod ends had to be modified a bit to fit them in - and even then, it's pretty tight. Might have some issues with movement and resulting vibration from the rod ends...

    LS Engine won't start

Thanks! I tried uploading several different video formats and all either weren't allowed formats, or failed with an error message about a missing security token. I have edited the post with a Youtube link that will hopefully work . ..

    LS Engine won't start

Success!!! The engine has started for the first time! After almost four months, I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or just drink a lot of beer. Maybe I'll do all three. . . The engine arrived back last week. It took a few days to uncrate and reinstall. The spark plugs were...

    LS Engine won't start

I have not fitted a new cam - engine is as supplied. It's a little hard to tell from these borescope pictures, but to my uneducated eye, it looks like a 24X reluctor wheel in there . . . (?) Which would be a bit surprising on a new (2 yrs ago), stock crate engine with a grey crankshaft...

    LS Engine won't start

How would I identify the type of reluctor wheel or cam gear? Is this possible while it is installed in the car? In the case of the reluctor wheel, would I just count the teeth for one revolution of the crankshaft (is this possible to do accurately while looking through the crankshaft sensor hole)?

    LS Engine won't start

Latest update: The replacement ECM didn't make any difference. After two or three 10 second cranking sessions, it threw the P0016 (Crankshaft to Camshaft correlation) error. The compression is 210 psi on all cylinders. I'm going to try once more with GM Performance tech support and some...

    LS Engine won't start

Thanks for the responses guys and sorry for the long delay in this response. The car is still not starting. I acquired a copy of HP Tuners and have spoken to GM Performance Tech Support several times, but so far, everything we have tried has not worked. The car sometimes throws a P0341...

    LS Engine won't start

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried pushing the accelerator pedal while starting, but it didn't make a difference. Good suggestion on the harness potentially being swapped to the wrong banks. The GM harness does requires some modification. I confirmed that the color coded wires for...

    LS Engine won't start

The new Manifold Pressure sensor finally arrived, so I installed it along with the new 2/0 battery cables and then connected the Corvette battery directly to the starter with the old 4AWG cables, leaving the Shorai LiFePo connected in its usual place on the SLC. The Corvette battery starts...

    LS Engine won't start

Thanks for the input, guys. The sensors each show +4.9v with the correct polarity, which persists while cranking. The signal wires have continuity back to the correct pin on the ECU plug. I confirmed that the valves are fully closed when the related piston is at TDC, but have not confirmed...

    LS Engine won't start

I'm not getting a P106 code and re-reading the GM Performance Engine Controller Kit installation manual doesn't say anything about MP sensors, however the Jegs site does have a statement which says that the Engine Controller "Will run all LS7s with MAP Sensor p/n 809-12615801". As far as I can...

    LS Engine won't start

Hi Ed, Did the engine throw any trouble codes prior to changing the sensor? What sensor did you change from/to?

    LS Engine won't start

I actually powered both. I connected the battery directly to the regular post on the starter and then I used a dedicated wire to run from the battery to the terminal on the solenoid. Just to make sure there wasn't something funky happening, I then connected the starter to the car exactly as it...

    LS Engine won't start

Thanks for all the tips. Further to your advice, I have connected all three GM harness grounds to one of the heads, with another dedicated wire from the same point all the way to the battery. I also ran another wire from the same point to the other head, so both heads are now grounded to each...

    LS Engine won't start

The battery is in the rear, about 24" from the starter and the cables are 4AWG with crimped connectors. Next time I try a start, I'll feel the connectors to see if they are hot. However, with the short runs, fat wire and the heavy duty crimping tool, I'd be surprised if this is causing much...

    LS Engine won't start

My "scanner" doesn't do very much and doesn't ID pedal position. I'm thinking that pulling the ignition leads off, connecting something like HP Tuners and looking at all the outputs is the next logical step . . .

    LS Engine won't start

I just spoke to GM Performance Tech Support. They suggested watching the voltage at the plug end of the cam or crank sensors to see if the voltage is good throughout cranking. The voltage is a solid 4.9 throughout cranking. Just for fun, I reconnected everything (including ignition leads)...

    LS Engine won't start

Hi guys, Thanks for all the good ideas. - The valve cover was pulled and the valves were fully closed when the associated piston is at TDC. - The Schrader valve on the fuel rail was pressed while I was hooking up the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail, spraying fuel everywhere. I guess...
